i have a suzuki swift 2013. standard on the dashboard, there is a USB connection. this connection is for the standard swift radio. can i use this USB from the dash also on this radio or can i only use the USB from the back? i think a usb connection on the back is no very handy by the way!! so i hope i can use the dash USB. i change the stick a lot!!

Hi, thanks for the feedback. We'll answer your comment/question in two-parts. Firstly, it maybe possible to utilise the existing USB input on your vehicle dash. However, if this connectivity is possible, it may require an adaptor or additional wire/cable from companies like Stinger Australia or TDJ Australia. It's impossible for Pioneer to provide out-of-the-box connectivity with an existing vehicle USB input, because all vehicles makes/models are manufactured differently. We recommend exploring this option with an authorised installer. Second-part; your Pioneer AVH headunit includes a USB extension lead (well Aus models do). This extension lead allows you to install USB connection in different areas of the vehicle. For example, you can have USB available in your centre console, globe box, etc. It gives you flxibility to access USB in areas that won't clutter your dash. A USB on the front of the headunit gives you no options to hide the USB cables, and also can be dangerous if cables are dangling near the gear stick.

Hi, you can connect this headunit to your steering wheel controls, but it will require a steering wheel wiring kit. Every vehicle is different, therefore impossible for Pioneer to make a headunit compatible out-of-the-box with every vehicle.
