This comparison would be better served if you used the same music and did the same scratch on each unit... its hard to get the sense of the two when using two different sounds that obviously are of different tempos and energy levels

Every time I see new shinny gear, I ask myself am I going to be able to do a better performance? What workflow enhancements if any? Am I going to get paid more? These answers ALWAYS lead me to keeping the gear I already have!
@JogWheel02122 жыл бұрын
I agree! As long as the gear that you’re playing is always giving you a good time and smile, there’s no reason to get a new one. Thanks bro!
@GroundBeatDe2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree!!! At the end it comes down to practice and thats all. Better than a rane 72 (build quality and overall performace) and a couple of TTs or twelves you will not get anything better :D (my humble opinion). BTW i find the rane one more practical for mobile djs. its smaller, weight a little less and the power its inside the maschine. Of course the layout its more Controllerish, but overall its very practical.

the crab scratch sound is more defined on the REV 7 . fader makes a difference. they are both great, but I choose the REV based on sound and performace features. the REV 7 is not for everyone.

The way I see it, now that REV7 is making so much noise in the DJ world, this only means that, in time, the Rane ONE will be a bit more affordable - which gives DJs like me a chance to get one. #JustWaiting

Now that you have had a little time with the DDJ REV 7. Why one in your opinion, is better for just scratching, the Rane one or the Rev7?

I love them both! It’s just something that i feel when I’m pulling the platter in the Rane1, i feel that i’m pulling the whole thing. About the REV7, time can tell coz the platter is made of plastic.

both fire, but i think rev-7 is a bit better coz of the internal effects and overall layout but rane one platter has the most vinylish feels i guess, price point, you can buy a pair of 2nd hand turntable and pioneer s7 in rev7 price, rane ones durability will sure last long time with affordable price.
@Presbiter2 жыл бұрын
Why has your unit no markings on the platter? are those optional? every other rev7 i saw had those white markers

You can put the white sticker out of the box on it or you can simply on and off the digital white marker in the unit itself.

I have been on a Rane One for over a year and now I own a Rev-7. The Rev-7 has some nice features, but for turntablism, the Rane One still feels better (but I did go for some aftermarket slip mats)... I still go back to it to play on for fun. If you are happy with the Rane One... don't get a Rev-7. Also, some people complain about the Serato Fx vs the built in Pioneer Fx... those peeps are probably used to using a S7/11. I think the Serato Fx is just fine and they never bothered me and I don't like the built in Echo on the Rev-7 over the Serato Echo. Will need to tweak it in the Rev-7 setting a bit. Had to buy furniture risers to put under Rev-7 so I can tuck my cords under it for a cleaner look. Having to deal with the power brick is a little annoying too. I do like the Rev-7. But, don't feel like you are missing out on anything important by sticking with the Rane One, it is a great well-built product.

Pioneer sounds like a digital garbled mess, poor when you think their cdjs are probably of the best sounding digital players out there. Rane one isn't perfect but definitely the best sounding all in one for scratching.
