I love my Sb. I use mine with Mixvibes cross 3. I spin with it 3 times a week plus being a dj at a Gothic fetish club. I beat the living hell out of mine with crazy styles of music,mixing,cutting. it took a year for the faders to start getting lose. I broke my deck B volume fader clean off tho but thats because i get drunk and shit happens. Buy a case i have doped mine down the stairs before and it took zero damage but still. Had a annoying girl spill a beer into it and it lived. Its a low budget compact mixer with a built in soundcard for under $300 get it its worth it.

Hi thanks for demonstration video. i have a question, in my country dj products are highly expensive due to taxes. i find 2 controller which suits what i need in slightly different price. the first one is native instruments traktor s2 mk1 (secondhand but still has weranty and 7 month old product) and the second one is pioneer ddj sb (new) which one do you think i should go with? Hi I'm really stuck on if to buy the pioneer ddj-sb or the mixtrack pro quad i know the quad has a 4 deck feature but it doesn't have the knob to fine adjust the volume of each deck, i prefer the big jog wheels on the ddj-sb and you can adjust the cross fader on the ddj-sb for straching but can't on the quad, overall i think i prefer the ddj-sb for looks but I'm not sure if this is because i come from a technic 1200 and mixer background, in a nut shell i want the better unit but do fell the mixtrack pro quad looks a little like a toy, this is just my fought.... PLEASE HELP.... THANKS

I had another question, so I just got my Pioneer DDJ sb2 controller today and I noticed that when it wasn't playing music it was getting kind of a feedback and it was beeping. The beeping seemed to go with the flashing of the play and cue pads. Any idea why this is?

PLEASE HELP! I just purchased the DDJ-SB about two days ago. I plugged the controller into my laptop's USB port, I downloaded the Serato DJ Intro Software and upgraded it to the latest version, however; every single time I open up Serato DJ Intro, there is a message at the the top that reads "Hardware Disconnected." Does ANYONE know how to fix this issue??? (I am on a 2007 MacBook Pro and am running 10.6.8)

I am new to DJ'ing; let me start by stating that. I bought a dj2go numark controller just to make sure I could beatmatch and such things like that on a simple controller, basically to make sure I was okay with spending money on expensive controllers. Would you recommend this controller for a first gig, I would use this for the summer as well, so if you would let me know that would be great. Secondly, I absolutely hate HATE HATE!! the VDJLeLite shit that the Dj2Go came with. Is serato dj into that basic as well???

I like Serato Intro better than VDJ LE, but its still somewhat trimmed down from the real version. This controller would definitely work for a first gig. Good luck to you!

You can use the faders to control how loud each channel goes... Don't put them all the way up!

It's because you only have the free version of VDJ... You need to buy the full version for it to work. This only works with Serato DJ Lite. Download that version and it will work.

Thanks for the review, ive been looking at the sr lately, I already have a entry level controller, its not as good as the sb but I likd the extra functions you get when you upgrade with this, so I was thinking if I biught this and upgraded to serato dj its going to cost me around £300, when I can get the sr for about £500 maybe cheaper, just wondering if you think its worth me spending that extra £200? Glimm3rz Gotta be a Driver issue. The Computer drivers aren't registering the hardware properly. Try installing the Drivers all over again... That's all I would try.

+King Solo Thanks! It can work with Traktor, but by itself... you can't plug your turntables into it so that won't work with Traktor...

+King Solo Still won't work. This does not have mixer inputs... You would need a Pioneer DDJ-SX for that or a Traktor Kontrol S4 which already has a built in A6 so you can simply plug in your turntables...

They are both equally good for beginners. The DDJ-SB is more suited for Serato while the S2 is better for Traktor. The S2 also has more advanced features since it comes with the FULL version of Traktor while the DDJ-SB only comes with the Serato Intro version of the software... You will have to pay extra $100 to unlock all features...

I think serato might be the easier program, but they both work nearly the same, so one isn't a huge jump over the other. S2 is the better investment though because it comes with the full featured software and you could stick with it longer if you decide to continue. Plus resale value would be better if you decide to give it up...

The Mixtrack Quad can use CD's and work without a computer, while the DDJ-SB is a computer-only Controller. They both get the job done, but it depends how you want to use it.
