Just made the leap. So, very helpful intro to the DDJ-SX3. Worked in radio, played clubs and did light mobile work with SL-1200 MK2's in the 80's. Double copies of vinyl 12" extended dance single were my effects. :-) Just retired, so lots of time to learn digital and use my new SX3 to produce custom versions of my 80's/90's MP3s and use them in hot mixes for personal enjoyment and sharing with friends. Maybe a small local 80s station would be interested.?.?

I'm coming off of a DDJSX. Do you think the platters are better and more responsive on the DDJSX3? Do you think it would be a good upgrade for me?

Also a mic Input in the front just adds to the list of dangers to look out for,. That’s just one more cord in the way to be snatched or yanked by one false move.

Athough I agree w you (because I had all sorts of problems drunk djing when the pioneer s9 mixer first came out) you can easily just make use of one of the rear mic inputs. I have the SX3, its solid.

Audio quality improvement vs. DDJ SX2 ? No one is adressing this question ? Is it the "same" ? Worst ? Better ? Does the new SX3 ad least compare in sound qulity to the SZ1 ? Please answer this question , thx in advance :)

Why would they move Headphone Mix Knob to the front. That is literally one of my most used knobs on the whole controller as I primarily mix with using my headphones as monitors.

I honestly don't understand this from a design standpoint, it's very frustrating especially if you use a road case that doesn't have a front slot. Either way, having to look down to rotate a knob that is frequently used is just stupid.

Everything seems to be working fine but I’m not hearing anything out of my headphones. No sound at all. I have USB adapter plugged in. Al lights are on and seem to be playing but no sound. Plays out my computer but no headphones. What am I missing???

You might just need to mess with your input/output settings in your software preferences area. Also make sure the headphone cue button is selected :)

The Cross Fader isn’t Replaceable?!? They know that’s the first thing that gets damaged on the controller, are you sure that middle plate doesn’t unscrew allowing you to have access to change it? If not that’s one of the dumbest designs changes ever.

Nice I got one but the funny thing IT DONT WHAT TO PLAY WIV MY 2020 MacBook Pro 13” I did the firmware Puts the SeratO drivers all in the new MacBook Pro 13 it even works i on a rane 72 but it doesn’t work with the DDGSX3 and I’ve noticed on the bottom that all information and errors, it saying error failed to connect to audio ll ..What next

When you have Master Cue on should you be able to here both A and B on the cross fader if it is positioned in the middle? I am only about to get audio from A when set to master cue unless I channel cue #2.

Has the mic inputs (at least the main one) been improved? I know that the mic input was improved on the SX2, from the SX1. However, it still sounds like s**t! That's great that they added 3 mic inputs now, but please tell me that they at least improved the main mic input!

DDJ-SX3 is a new model with that color effects features BUT that color effects already in DDJ-RX the old model, it means that Rekordbox controllers are more advance features than Serato controllers.😊

One way of looking at it, Serato should have the Prime 4 soon though and that's definitely advanced 🔥

what do you think fam? I had problems trying to figure out triggering programmed loops at first. Still getting used to blends using the jog wheel vs 1200 platters (some of my mixes feel a little sloppier), but other than that I like it.

I would consider the 1000 if I could use with Serato Pro. Those platters are sexy.

Pioneer has made some amazing DJ gear but the controllers are my least favorite.The DDJ SX 1 & 2 had issues with the platters. I know they're great for mobility but they should never be trusted in a club environment.

Digital DJ Tips that’s why the demon stands out! Dunno why pioneer didn’t compete with the denon controller! That’s an amazing feature, if your laptop dies at least you have the stand alone...
