Thanks for this tutorial. It helps but the DJS-1000 has so many features that one tutorial can't possibly cover all of its features. Please continue diving into as many features as you can. These videos help a lot of people like me who want to know more about it and how to use it creatively.

My only criticism of the Sampling functionality: I wish they had an option to quantize record launch to 1 beat, 1 bar, 4 bars, etc… This would enable you to hit a pad with a few seconds head-start so you could manipulate the audio signal being fed to the DJS in realtime (on the mixer, for example) vs just recording a static loop. The requirement to hit the pad “right on time” means you are limited in a way. It is a really fun unit, despite this. Pioneer dj, you listening?

Good tutorial. However, like many other reviewers he got bars mixed up with beats. There are 4 beats in a bar. When he said that he was going to sample for 2 bars for example, what he actually was doing was recording for 2 beats, which adds up to half a musical bar. Not wanting to be pedantic, but so many reviewers got this wrong that I bought the DJS1000 thinking it would loop for way longer than its 4 bar synced limit. Still a kickass device!

Thank you for the tutorial. Please create more. Once you have it all sequenced, can you save the entire mix on the thumb drive to export it to Ableton or for replay at a later time as an MP3 loop?

A great video. A question? How do you have the cdj connected? To the mixed in line or send or directly to the djs 1000? Thanks

What is your quantize setting on that you don't have to shorten the waveform or reposition it in the mix? I always have to make minute precision changes in my samples. What am I doing wrong?

I just bought this thing. I hope it’s worth it. I’m use to an Octatrack, MPC X and Deluge. BUT, this looks fun live. Hmm, I hope it was worth it.

I can't believe the DJS-1000 doesn't have a digital input/output.. recording and playing back through crappy RCA jacks is terrible..
