Pioneer hi-res Digital Audio Player XDP-300R "The Review"

The sound of this dap is Amazing when you use the balanced port, and slide the soundstage to wide, and select your balance output as ACG. I use the Pop eq settings with the number 2 club bass boost option, and it rumbles really good and still allows you to here the mids and highs in spades. I use the high gain option as well. This dap is like having a top of the line Pioneer Elite reciever sound in your hands/pocket. It reminds me of the sound I get from my Pioneer Elite SCLX901 Reciever.

excellent dap,i purchsed mine back in 2017, and i love it...along with it's twin the Onkyo DP-X1A,which is also an excellent dap.

Just looking at this now, but I use Bluetooth headphones with ldac so no sure I'd gain anything sound wise from using my phone

Worked well but now no computer can detect it or find drivers for it. Tried to find update drivers on Panasonics webb site but it can´t find the model. Anyone else experiencing this?

I am still not sure if this Pioneer is a step up in sound quality to my LG Phone G6, G7, G8, and V40 (ES9218P quad DAC chip) running Onyko HF player software. The Pioneer XDp-300 of course looks better. If I buy, it has to be a used one from Japan.

Tell you the truth I had an LG V50 that in my opinion didn't sound as good as my Pioneer. Hope that helps and please subscribe if you haven't 😉.

Good review I have the same hi res player I'm still trying to figure out all the things it can do LOL. I was fortunate to catch it at Best Buy for $400 It will be cool of you to do a tutorial on how to download music using the software. I don't quite get it

Has an issue with the USB micro connector losing contact. I have to put mine in a vice and hold a USB micro cable at a 30-45 degree angle (with a micro vice) before I can get it to make contact and start charging. Battery drain is excessive :-(
