Never center the line on the string. The string establishes boundaries. Marked lines should straddle boundaries only in parking lots. Look at field layout in your sport's rule book and place the line on the appropriate side of the string. With that said, Pioneer paint is excellent paint and the striper shown is a good one. We have used this striper with Pioneer paint for over 20 years! It works as shown and is capable of painting very straight lines with crisp edges. Aerosol paint works well on grass but makes lousy lines on dirt. For dirt, stick to good old chalk!
