The resemblance of Sr and Jr at the same age is unreal! The workmanship with you guys is in a class on it's own. Pioneer is a true Canadian gem with all the Candian values.

ITs good to see local guys making it . I grew up in Williams Lake and went to school with Andre and Dave Chevigny. I have watched a couple of the Timber Kings shows so far and its good to see the old town and hear old names . If I win the lottery I will be calling on Pioneer to make me the log cabin I have always wanted .Congrats boys for taking an old school skill and making it a world wide dream =)

im hooked on this show from the first episode. when i was watching it i couldnt stop but wonder why everything was going so smoothly and why they were not fighting and acting like arrogant macho pricks. even the big guys were nice. and then i got it - they are Canadians. more Canadians on American TV please!

Amazing and impressive! I'm just a little concerned about the timber origin and replenishment. The video mention a 100+ year old ceder tree used in the construction ... once cut down, are they gone forever, or are they grown in commercial forests? In South Africa almost 7,200 ceder trees were cut down and processed into telephone poles, almost leading to their permanent loss. Luckily this practice was outlawed in 1967 and annual ceder seedling planting now takes place to re-establish the forests. I would not be proud living in a home where the use of huge logs contributed towards the demise of a particular species.

Is there a specific course or something you can do to learn this trade. General carpentry doesn’t cover this and I’m super interested in the process!

Great Show, Great homes and Great guys on the show. But I dont agree with chopping down 1000 year old trees for profit. But the do look good.
