I went to Sea Glass Island in a Aruba a while back and learned a bit about the different colors! The green, brown, and clear came from old bottled drinks, blue comes from old time medicine bottles, and red is actually car tail lights!

When I was little all of my past time was finding rocks in my absolute favorite Beach glass. Now you can barely find it in northern Michigan. It's a good thing but also sad to my nostalgia side of my heart. People don't throw glass bottles into the Great lakes as much at least here in northern Michigan so it's actually a plus 😊.

When we use to go on vacation to St. Thomas we always use to look for beach/ocean glass.....when we first started it wasn't too hard to find but as the years went on it became much harder.....was A LOT less of it bc it wasn't a dump lol

We have the same beach in Vladivostok! The story behind it is that there used to be a place to dump shards of glass from a local glass factory. Now all the glass there is rounded and not sharp and dangerous anymore.

Isn't that beach an incredibly tumultuous and difficult trip to get to? I saw a few videos about a similar beach that many people had died trying to fight the tide to get to the shore.
