The original Rhapsody/Rhapsody Of Fire split in 2012, into Rhapsody of Fire and Luca Turillis Rhapsody. Rhapsody of Fire kept the original singer Fabio Lione, keyboardist/composer Alex Staropoli and drummer Alex Holzwarth. Meanwhile guitarist/composer Luca Turilli, guitarist Dominique Leurquin and bassist Patrice Guers joined Luca Turillis Rhapsody from the original band lineup. So they split almost like in two halves! Luca Turilli Rhapsody only did two albums, whereas Rhapsody of Fire are still active, but with Alex Staropoli as the only original member left. In fact, all of the other five joined together for yet another reincarnation of the band, this time named Turilli/Lione Rhapsody. Their latest and likely only release was in 2019. "Zero Gravity" is a good option to check out from that one. There are many classic songs from the original era, which are all fantasy themed (LoTR inspired). After the split, in my opinion the Luca Turilli versions stand out, although Rhapsody of Fire are still a good power metal band.

hey happy to see u enjoyed them ❤❤. the female singer is Emily Ragni from France my country. she is not even known from people. maybe from some people who knows rhapsody or sing in classical i dunno but she is mainly a nobody in France sadly. Plenty of songs i love from rhapsody. Black dragon or Sospiro divino are good songs from luca turilli. If you wanna see more classic rhapsody you can listen to the classic emerald sword a full power symphonic metal song with fabio Leone as a singer. the male singer is Alessandro conti here if i remember well.

Good analyze, thanks! I've been following them as long as Therion and Nightwish. First, this live has a good sound but not excellent. It gives sometimes a "stuffed" sound especially for the female singer. This is more due to recording quality. Studio sound is so amazing that Luca Turilli has been asked to re record the whole Prometheus album in Dolby Atmos! I don't know if it is the only metal album recorded in that format but you need a special home setup and the Blu ray to enjoy the full experience. If you want to go further and seize Luca Turilli's mastery, I suggest the studio recording of the song "Arcanum (Da Vinci's Enigma)" under the band name Turilli Lione Rhapsody.

The real pioneerof symphonic power metal is Stratovarius. You can try their song called Black Diamond. And puoneer of power metal is Helloween, check their song called ride the sky if you wanna know what power metal is

actually the pioneers of symphonic metal are the band stratovaruis and the band symphony x also rhapsody nightwish later albums are symphonic but their first album is power metal because of the mouvement was happening in the 90s

Thank you for your reaction, we thoroughly enjoyed it👍. They started off as Rhapsody but due to legal issues changed their name into Rhapsody of Fire. They became known for their combination of powermetal combined with classical elements. Mainly influenced by Vivaldi, Bach and Paganini. Their studioalbums are recorded with original baroque instruments and with choir, even multiple choirs. Their main singer used to be Fabio Lione. Most famous songs are Emerald Sword, Dawn of Victory, Holy Thunderforce, The dark tower of Abyss.kzbin.info/www/bejne/bojYaaualqpkl5I All totally epic.
