Her vibrato is right up there with B.B. King... this is one of the best explanations given regarding giving flavor to the music with the embellishment technique and soul.

Jiaju has a 5 String Electric Pipa, & I wanted to take that instrument, & put a Buzzing Bridge on it to create the "Sitar-pa. A Sitar-pa is a Chinese Pipa that's modified to emulate a Sitar sound, this way you can play Indian Ragas.

I recently purchased a Pipa from China. The problem is that the string height is really high. I am knowledgeable in playing a basic 6 string guitar. The strings rest fairly close to the frets. However, on the Pipa, the strings are very high. 7-8mm above the frets on the upper bamboo frets on the body. So, pressing the string to the fret to play a note takes a lot of pressing down to reach the frets. Moving from the bottom A string to the D string makes that transition rather difficult. I was wondering if that string height was normal for the Pipa.

It is normal so that pulling strings becomes possible

@@yananpu576 Thanks for the reply. I actually sold that Pipa not long after and found a much nicer Pipa. String height is a bit lower. Easier to play and sounds very nice. I think it was considered a soloist Pipa.
Hello, We, at Saltire Software, are interested in using this audio as part of our adaptation of the book, On the Sensations of Tone by Hermann Helmholtz. The product will be online, and will give users the ability to hear the chords, notes, scales, etc. which are discussed in the book, as well as include other features. We would like to use a clip of your playing in a section of the appendix which focuses on non-harmonic scales traditional to various parts of the world. If we have your permission to use the audio in your video, please let us know. Regards, Saltire Software
