4 wheel cutters are the best way to cut pipe agreed. But tell me something genius. You see how close the pipe was cut next to that welded outlet??? 2 or 4 wheel cutters wouldn’t work in this situation. Plain and simple. It was an instructional video. You ever watch the instructional videos on threading pipe. There 5-10 some even 20 minutes long. There instructional for a reason. Break down every aspect of the job. It isn’t a race bud. Grow the fuck up.

Anyone saying no space for a cutter don’t know what they are saying. Lots of options, could be a 4-wheel hinge cutter, or etch the pipe with your cutter and then bandsaw it, it will still guide it better than the goofy pipe wrap marker strategy. Anyone wasting time for “perfection” isn’t a good fitter. I’ve cut pipes with chopsaws, grinders, anything available and I’ve never had a leak. It ain’t rocket science. Do the pipes butt up? Okay it’s gonna seal. If my grandfather caught me tracing circles around the pipe before I cut it he would’ve whipped a 90 at me for wasting time.

@@johnhughes9872 idk I'm a service guy so it doesn't make sense for me to do it that way. If I'm making a few grooves I'll just use a ratchet And if I'm doing a bunch of big pipe in like a pump replacement I'll throw the groovers on the machine

I never see before cutter machine like this. We use grander machine to cut pipes from 3 inches up to 12 inches.

is obvious that your company need to upgrade all the equipment, with the right tools cut and groove a pipe will take no more than 4 minutes, to cut that pipe with a hydrocutter with the 700 machine , and groove with the 300 machine and the hydraulic grover easy ..

Wow, just watched this in UK and I'm astounded. In the UK we'd use a Ridgid 258 to cut, then a Ridgid 918 to groove and have 6 lengths of pipe fitted before these Guy's would have the pipe cut LoL. Mind you whose right or wrong if you can work at that pace all day!!! More fool us over here I suppose. Everyone to there own ways but just highlights how countries/places differ regatds doing the same type of work !!!!! Should of emigrated years ago Lmfao 🤣🤣🤣🤣

You would save much more time with a 2 to 4 in cutter and less likely to have a fucked up cut and no need for a pipe wrap and no power needed I can have the piece cut and groved in the same AMT of time u got your mark around the pipe

I prefer my 4 wheel cutters. With the proper groover you can just use a drill now. 1/2 drive adaptor, spins like butter. I'll make a video. Thanks for the idea.

I use whatever is closest to me. Soapstone, lumber crayon, paint marker, heck even a nail to scratch a line. Anyone that needs to go 360 around a pipe with their mark needs to be stuck to the machine til they learn lol
