utility at lowest elevation because process lines include toxic/poisonous services. IN case of leakage it will not mix with utility/drinking water lines.

Do we consider water filled pipe weight for steam or empty pipe weight?

@@pymedaca3130 thanks for the replay..if we consider water weight then the anchor loading or loading for axial stop to contain the thermal expansion will also be as per water filled pipe?

For steam, we must develop the scenarios, thermal analysis are done with steam density but slug loads shall be included. Upon closing, hydroload with water density to be checked and loads to revised accordingly in the final restraint summary.

Hi Demy, There is no standard for pipe rack design, however the current designs are based on general engineering practices. Sure I ll Cover in future videos.
