Awesome job helping out people on Christmas day. Yesterday my customers water heater leaked and the gate valve didn't work so they turned off their house water. I replaced their tank, they were very grateful. Helping people is what it's about and you get to make a living doing it, I love this job!! Hi Mr. Pipes I am 63 and you remind me of my first employer in the electrical and hvac field . I was hired at 19 by BLAKE electric in the Bronx. I feel the pain for anyone dealing with this today 9° in Pa this morning Woke this morning at 2am to no heat! 1989 Columbia oil boiler, oil tank got too low, oil filter clogged real bad, lack of maintenance Luckily service was out by 9am with 20 gallons and a new filter and screen Thank you for being out today to keep people alive!

When I worked for Illinois Bell Telephone, service was our mission and the product was telephone equipment.. That went to H when they broke up the Bell System into the Baby Bells, closed Western Electric and put the famous Bell Labs in the sub basement where it flooded annually.. ..so this is what we have today.. …😩

so very true Mike. i have always believed that you treat your customers home like it was your grandmothers home. I always used car wax on the condensers and furnaces and yet I was written up for going above and beyond on each job. I do not care what managers say I will always take the customers needs over mine any day of the week

@@PipeDoctor living in Vegas I found that almost every company out here ignores the customers. When I worked in the field as a senior tech it drove my dispatcher crazy because before I did any work I would first calm them down let them vent and explain to me exactly what's been going on. Then I would go through my diagnostics determent the issue and give all options. Starting with quoted repairs, system upgrade or the third option of doing nothing . In my 22 year carrier I have always walked away with $600 to $1000 repair ticket or system replacement sale. No pressure 100% up to the customer to make there chiloice. But it's all about building the relationship. Love what you do mike. And thank you.

Hey Mike, I was thinking about this frozen pipe issue, something we don't have to deal with in sunny Sarasota FL. I thought maybe install a Grunfos recirc system,comfort series,and put the thermostatic cross connection valve in the area where you are most likely to get a freeze situation. It will keep the water moving,keep it warm and some of that heat may migrate to other fixtures like the tub or shower.let me know your thoughts. It could be a nice upsell and the homeowner can use all the time on a timer for quicker hot water or only in a deep freeze situation like you are in now.peace brother,wishing you a prosperous new year my friend. P.s. Be careful not to turn your company into the Jerry springer show,you'll attract more qualified people and your businesses will really take off,free advice from an old salt!!

I was called at 5:45 am for a no heat no domestic…. Got in my iron horse rode out to my stop…. Out of oil… stopped got 20 gallons of Diesel,fuel prime and start, $100. Tip. On my way home another stop…. No heat…. They put down new floors and cut my low voltage wire to the t stat. New wire heat is up…headed home. ALWAYS CARRY YOUR METER! Makes a pain in the butt stop disappear. Going to my family.

I’m not in the business but I’ve got a question/ comment. Isn’t it important to know whether you are dealing with a homeowner or renter when you go out on a job, and which one called you/authorized the job? Make no mistake- great video and totally professional job. But there is no question that there was a bit of surprise when the last woman mentioned nonchalantly “oh, I rent from my friend” as you were discussing the service plan options. I would suppose that the person who calls you pays you. Not just asking because I’m a “yenta”. It arises in my field also and I’m just curious about how you deal with it (if it’s not too personal a question). Thanks.
