I think Pipeline is a song with a mysterious magic that doesn't make you feel old even after many years have passed.

Brings back memories of high school, white tees, light colored levis and Pendleton wool shirts. Cruising by the hamburger stand and Friday night varsity football followed by Saturday night cruising.

Great number--Saw waves like this at Bells Beach in Easter 1963 on an outgoing tide with a howling South Westerly. We sat on the beach with our 9 foot boards & just stared. The shore break would bury you.🧐

Are these guise the Ventures? Where's the drummer(s)? But that's okay. the song is such a modern Beethoven classic, and the vids are awesome here, whiteout wipeout, so tanks for gettin us carried away with them.
@gusloader1235 ай бұрын
@guymichel101 --> The "Chantay's" did "Pipeline". The "Ventures" famous tune was "Wipe Out". There are other videos here on You Tube with both groups playing "Surf Music" and other instrumentals. Matter of fact the first time (I think) the "Chantay's" were seen was when they got free publicity was on the program I grew up watching with my parents every Saturday night: "The Lawrence Welk Show". About 1962 / 1963.

@@gusloader123yes the chantays did pipeline but i think the surfaris wrote and made wipeout famous; the ventures did covers of both of these songs.

Hey let me ask you about that jaguar. Is the tuning more atable when using the trem than a strat? My g and b always go sharp on ANY strat style trem.
@galejohnson592 Жыл бұрын
It stays in tune no matter how aggressive I get with the bar, but for the record, it's a Jazzmaster although I think the Jaguar has the same trem.

The Chantays did the original song in 1963 followed by the Ventures; this guy is the same guy in this video - he played each instrument alone then cut it in the video nicely!!! Wooo-hoooo!
