Getting into piping now. Really appreciating the feedback being provided here. I've watch 3 videos so far and all had issues I struggled with and overcame or still working on but all had valuable insights. Keep up the good work, I'm sure I'm not the only one benefitting from this site. Cheers.

hello this Jonathan here is how I figured out that he blowing 20 years ago is you could either use your practice chanter or pipe chanter just with the reed in the reed seat and use a bagpipe tuner and blow on it and watch the needle see how much it would go one way ore the other way and try to aim for right in the middle

I take my pipes with me wherever I am and at the moment in The Philippines and my goodness how hard it is to keep them in tune here.

When learning to blow and squeeze, keep your arm firmly against the bag and as you blow let the bag push your arm back up. Try to maintain that constant pressure in the bag, you should catch on to this aspect of the pipes fairly quickly.

Does chanter reeds have to be so hard to blow, I nearly bust a gut trying to play mine, I've tried different reeds with pretty much the same results.
