The town is stuck in Purgatory, inside the town is a bubble of reality where people can die but anyone who dies or leaves is simply removed to Purgatory outside the town, the Hangman created this bubble to entertain themselves and if town wins, they get a day of peace, love and harmony before the game begins again, if the evils kill all of the town then the game begins again. It's like Groundhog Day in hell... or maybe it's just because the game can only handle a Live/Dead state and not something in between.

Coroner should be able to double visit imo, and they can use the visits on living or dead, so if 2 people die night 1, they could double examine, or if only 1 they could do examine +visit and itd be able to find the killer on the same night they examine

I still like what someone suggested on another pipe vid, where they get one piece of extra info on who *isn't* the killer when they pick a day target. EG: "You examined 12, they were killed by a potion master, evidence suggests 7 isn't the killer" then you can pick a number to check for the night.

maybe give them the ability to discover the role of stoned targets. if anyone can discover who the victim is, it would be the coroner. besides, the role is weak enough already. no need to be hard countered by medusa

I feel like Coroner should be able to check multiple people every night, the amount of people depending on the player’s selection. The more you check the more vague your information is, but it makes it more likely that you *have* information at least. And that would make it have synergy with psy and seer too!

@@davidmcgill1000 I'm not sure that would be a bad thing! There's 4 coven in a game, if it takes 2-4 nights per killer then that's 8-16 nights y'know. Games just don't last that long! And it would make Coroner a high value target while also being easy to fake claim, so you'll have to verify them! It might suck for an SK / WW / Shroud but they have to claim to get information out meaning you have a few days to knock them out before it's narrowed down.

Yeah, that was my suggestion, but also that the Trickster can only counter the attack with the same strength they were attacked with. This would benefit Shroud, could possibly cause an interesting interaction where silent SK is viable, and gives an additional benefit to the Coven Leader’s empowered defense. It would also pair really well with the Sheriff because a Trickster with those reworks would excel at eliminating all CK that aren’t CL, which sheriff can’t find because of Necronomicon.

I don't like ToS2 Exe. Not because it isn't fun to play, but because it feels like it doesn't have good counterplay for town right now, ironically at its worst in games like this one where your target is evil: If an exe's target is a townie, then the right answer for town is to not hang that person, and the right (or at least safe) answer for evils is to either vote inno on that person, or to kill them at night, denying the exe their win. This feels like the correct playpattern for Exe- Town has to be wary of executioners giving them bad leads that swing the game in favor of evils, and evils have to balance using them as a helpful distraction from the real evils with trying not to be left holding the bag for the exe's haunting. But if the exe's target *is an evil* then the dynamic doesn't work properly- what is town supposed to do? *Not hang the evil?* They can hang the exe first, but that's slow, and puts down as a disadvantage just as bad as loosing a townie to the executioner. Maybe Exe's ability to choose a target shouldn't work on evils- if you try to target an evil at night, you instead get a message that they're too evil, which would let you make a convincing TI claim that you found an evil, which you then eventually follow up with finding a townie to pretend is evil. Makes them a potential menace to both townies and evils, which is what Neutral Evil characters *should* feel like.

personally, i am fine with exe being able to choose their target or killing a gulity/abstaining voter on win. giving exe both was a mistake. as you said, it can end up punishing town for making the right play, and makes it harder for exe to ally with evils (unless coven has a clear majority and can afford to lose a teammate)

Honestly, it's baffling to me from a game design perspective. Potentially punishing town for hanging a confirmed evil makes no sense. If you get lucky and pick a target who gets found by TI early on, there's no skill whatsoever involved, the TI will do the work for you and will probably end up dying for it. Exe should either not be able to choose their target or not torment on win, either would make it not punish townies for playing the game well and would make it easier for evils to ally with executioners. Frankly, I'd be more happy if it just reverted to the TOS1 incarnation. Changing it at all really felt to me like fixing something that wasn't broken, in contrast to many of the other changes to returning TOS1 roles.

tbh, coming from ranked rolelist, i actually love being coroner. Being able to tell town who the CK is a pretty useful one, also a legit coroner will is pretty hard to fake because some people often forget the little things like being unable to visit if you never autopsied anyone in the game in case of medusa game. also when a lot of killing roles kills the same person n1, you just got fed information from the get go which is very nice. I still hate the fact that a medusa existing just shuts down the role completely though. Also in ranked, people still often didn't just claim coroner d2 because "i don't have any useful info" (or even any TI who refused to claim their roles). There's 2 confirmed TIs in the role list, atleast just confirm your existence in the game so nobody can take that claim away.

Nah, I think she said that she hasn’t been playing in a lot of Pipe’s videos because she got some backlash that she was clout chasing off of Pipe. Honestly, really sad because I really enjoy their in game dynamic. The videos where Pipe and Ada team up are some of the most entertaining ToS videos I’ve seen.

i never really do that, but that makes sense if you try to prove yourself. But you end up putting those exact people in danger and if you suddenly didn't post your will or remove things from it, you immediately got sussed. Especially coming from a ranked rolelist perspective (the mode i often played)

What if Coroner could sort of relive their target's memories from the night they died? Say 6 checked 9 but cov killed them on the same night. You then autopsy 6, relive their memories, and find that 6 found 9 sus. Coroner would still be weak but definitely better and more fun to play.
