Town of Salem is a social deduction game similar to Among us and Goose Goose Duck. Among Us/Goose Goose Duck allows you to play the game with up to 4-15 players, Town of Salem allows up to 15 players in a single game.
Like Among Us/Goose Goose Duck, you can be good or evil with factions such as Town, Mafia and Neutrals. Among/Goose Goose Duck us has 2 roles (without mods), town of salem has 33 different characters in the base game. Sometimes evils will begin shouting this as a defence early in the game like D3 in CAA about whoever is pushing them, even when it isn't a unique role :p Those are the ones that get me lol'ing. In defence of the person in this scenario, there wasn't really much else they could do/say at that point, just yell as much as they possibly could and pray they vote Pipe instead (and still lose to Trapper/Doc combo, rip).

Sometimes when solid logic is not possible to defend yourself as evil, a valid strategy is to use wrong information to confuse those who are not paying attention, or do not know the game well enough, and then use that confusion to keep yourself alive, though it is funny when there are people that do know the game and immediately call them out on their false logic

In respect to what the Jester did game 1. If a strategy as Jester gets you lynched then it's not a bad strategy. Same with "This claim is bad for this role", if town buys it for a little while then it's not a bad claim. Just some claims are harder to keep up than others.

I just realized: Mayor must be hella strong. If he's 1v1 a Juggernaut or Pestilence, he can literally vote them off solo. Mayor is the Kratos of the ToS universe

Honestly, In that first game I am shocked you didn't get upped when the mayor revealed, your only defense was being active and pro town against jesters something an evil totally could've been doing

GG's btw. I was 11 in the first game, that was my first round of the day. My claim was pretty good but ended up panicking near the end because most were pretty much confirmed. It didn't help either that most of my Infects ended up dying or getting lynched Immediatly. As for the N2, I was infact hypnoed and Attacked by Maf hence why no Maf kills happened.

Here's 3 games for ya. 1)I'm Ret with a GA. The end of the game comes down to me, my GA, a confirmed trapper, a Jester claiming Jailor and a Pest. The jailor was clearly fake since no one has claimed jailed all game. The Pest decides to attack the clearly fake jailor & the next day gets hung by the me, my GA and the trapper 2)Two crus game. Lmao, 2 Crus game. N2:Crus #1[not me] kills a BG. N3:Me, the other crus, kills the spy who went on the crus #1, N4:Crus #1 kills invest who was checking me. Town still one but the Crus did more harm then the evils lmao 3)Town consisted of 3 Crus, 1 Amne Crus, 1 BG, 1 Doc, 1 Mayor, 1 Ret[Me]. Doc got hung, BG died doing his job, Crus all gradually ended up dead. It came down to just 1 Ret[me], 1 GF and 1 revealed Mayor. Town managed to win however Mayor almost game-threw by refusing to vote on what should have been the last day. Lucky for him I had 2 dead crus'to use to protect Mayor & GF chose to attack him on the last night instead of me.

to be fair in Game 3, Had he not attacked, he may have lost Had he attacked you, mayor could easily vote him Attacking mayor was a gamble that you'd used all the crus already There wasn't much he could do

@@niaford690 Actually the main gamble for the GF was "Is the ret legit?" On the last night I had 2 freshly dead Crus to use so he would have had to wait 2 nights before he could kill the Mayor & with the way that Mayor was playing the game sadly things could have gone either way. It was only because of communication between myself & the living Crus's during the game that the Mayor survived & town was able to win.

There's a statistics screen on the main menu. It'll tell you how many wins amongst other things you did during games

Its Because PB cant kill unless they become Pestilence so they hope that the Town inno's them and lynch someone else or another confirmed evil who can kill.

Its also used as a fake claim for vulnerable townies as you saw with the mayor. PB has defense so sometimes those townies claim it so evils wont even try to attack

JFC I can't play this game anymore. Game 1: BG and Crus in discord. Chain n1. Didn't say a single thing in game. I asked how they knew to chain, and they said they were in discord. Crazy part... random 3rd person argues with me that it's not really cheating. Game 2: I'm part of 4 maf team. 9 players left. Convince pirate to side with us to win the game. Bunch of people claim that pirate siding with maf is cheating. SAME FUCKING PLAYER FROM GAME 1. SAYS IT'S NO DIFFERENT THAN DISCORD. I can't even understand how people don't understand the difference between how whispering pirate in game is different from being in a discord with another player and sharing info.

If the "Google version" means the browser version, then no. The steam version is paid, but runs smoother and there's no ads, unlike browser. You also get a bundle of goodies like custom skins and town points on steam. The gameplay, however, is the same.

I really think Ret should be reworked to select all townies, cloning any ability once. Even Jailor but since it is so powerful it would take 2 nights to execute. Its just... so weak especially on some teams that were good like a trans, Vet and Mayor yet you can do nothing. Plus some roles would actually be able to confirm yourself aside from the rare TP self protect. It would make you a massive target being a mayor or jailor.
