Town of Salem is a social deduction game similar to Among us and Goose Goose Duck. Among Us/Goose Goose Duck allows you to play the game with up to 4-15 players, Town of Salem allows up to 15 players in a single game.
Like Among Us/Goose Goose Duck, you can be good or evil with factions such as Town, Mafia and Neutrals. Among/Goose Goose Duck us has 2 roles (without mods), town of salem has 33 different characters in the base game. Town of Salem is a great alternative to Among Us/Goose Goose duck if you're looking for another game in the social deduction genre. I had a Serial Killer game the last time I played.. I'd never won as SK before. Killed the CL night 1, and was happy about it. Just me and the Mafia. I did all the typical successful evil things. Participated in the discussions, had a claim ready but never had to use it. The maf started killing the TI's, and I started killing the Talkers. I left tips in my deathnotes, saying that "Someone wasn't speaking at all and we should lynch them". Just a slight nudge towards what's written, and everybody's following me. The supporting Maf died. I go for the only TP claim, a Doctor. There had been a claim that somebody was attacked and healed another night. He actually self-heals. The final Maf got roleblocked. I leave it in my next deathnote, that 11 is a confirmed Doc. Doc claims are SK claims, my note doesn't help too much and that's my mindgame. Escort was hung that day. Later, there's 4 of us left. Maf hits me, I hit the Doctor. But the Doctor lives?. Impossible! It had to be a GF or Arso. I'd been fooled from the start!. There's a Mafioso, a "Doctor", and a proven GA-turned-Surv claim, and me. I just accepted that it was a loss. Got lynched. The next day, I see that the Mafioso was stabbed by a Serial Killer, followed by "Serial Killer wins", and achievements saying that I won an SK game, and that I won with another SK? The Doctor was a silent SK the whole time. I did all the dirty work, and (apparently) they expected to get lynched as "the one SK in the game". We were all bamboozled. I'm friends with them now :)

@@schmeat7609 Neutrals that want to win will usually try their best to not backstab someone that's playing it straight with them. If surv backstabbed SK or pirate, the other one could easily kill him and force the loss. Pirate had no reason to backstab since literally nobody pushed him and Pipe revealed. Pirate probably also wanted to try to let surv get the "win with a psycho" achievement since all any players tend to prioritize achievements over wins a lot.

@@schmeat7609 I gotta agree it's a high risk high reward since getting surv means you either claim D1 or people will say "Hey wait, you didn't claim day 1 so you MUST be fake!" that's why some survs will literally claim sheriff and lynch a target and if it's a town scream out "haha, exe win" and if it's evil, they just say "tplo on me"

They should buff survivors somehow so they can prove they are indeed a survivor. Maybe they could work as a neutral support role where they can hand out 1 free bullet proof vest to a random player and they would get a notification "Survivor gave you a bullet proof vest" for example. It would confirm that there is a survivor in the game.

Sk is always a solid role, not the best role or even close to it but it's always a role that you can depend and all you need is use its attack and immunity to the best of your skill and you can win games

Off topic: Don’t fake claim as town except for stuff like mayor and vet. Someone fake claimed vet AS vigi which sucks. I exed them thinking they were mafia. How was I supposed to know he was vigi shooting 3. They also voted up an lynched a townie. Just don’t fake claim as town or less your trying to bait maf like saying I’m surv as mayor or shooting you as vet.
