Euterpe would sing praise for such perfect rendering of her art form. It isn't Earth-bound when these two are playing. Thank you for posting this treasure for all to enjoy anywhere, any time. I am enjoying from Shenandoah County, Virginia, USA.

Left Dublin in 2006 for Western Australia. Lived around the corner from the O’Brien family in Artane for years. Knew them all, Michael, their beloved Denis and Sean. all of whom were brilliant musicians. This brings back fond memories. Maith sigh.

Do you remember when they used to play in Amiens Street on Sunday nights? The were part of the Clontarf Comhaltas at that time.

Lovely stuff. Mick was my Irish teacher in St David's in Dublin in 1999-2000. He was a stand up teacher we all respected. Glad to see he's keeping well. From an old bowsey of a student.

have you listened , or maybe have the ancient voice of ireland by mick.. it is haunting and beautifull.. not in the style of this video, more in the style of braveheart and well known classic deep melodies. listen to it, .. wonderfull..

I love fiddle playing and I love piping, but for some reason when they are together, I am not a huge fan..

I know what you mean - it's like going to a restaurant, and having the main (savoury) course at the same time as the sweet/pudding !

Try Mick's album Deadly Buzz as an example of how amazing uilleann pipes and fiddle can be.
