I passed Richard Elliott once in the conference center parking garage. He was going to the elevator so I was only able to give him a passing hello. But since then I’ve wanted to thank him for all the joy, and even fun, he has given to me on KZbin and in person. I appreciate his playful personality and his deep respect for his instrument. In addition, I appreciate the fact that he listened to his mother and practiced that instrument faithfully. We reap the rewards of that practice today. My thanks also to Dr. Howard for his clever insights into the organ and music in general. I’m learning so much because of his research and writing ability. I particularly enjoy his interviews with the organists and the chance to hear their other verbal voices.

I feel exactly the same. I hope he knows what a difference he makes in our lives because of his commitment, faithfulness, and excellence re: his love for mastering the King of the Orchestra -the mighty ORGAN! I call Bro Elliot the "Fred Astaire" of the organ! A true master of the black and white keys. Thank you for years of musical bliss and rhapsody! It always gives me chills. God bless your hands and feet, eyes and ears- and also- your wonderfully supportive family. Thank you for your sacrifice of time and presence over the years. I'm sure its a heavy calling. God Bless you all!
