yeah, it feels weird to be the only one in the chat talking to the streamer, it feels too personal but then again, it doesn't also feel to go chat in stream where your messages only flash for like a millisecond and nobody else gets a chance to read and reply to it, because the streamer is super popular. the best balance i've found is on Stix's streams, he's not a Vtuber, he's video game reviewer of sorts but he has a decent sized following and when he streams, he makes sure to reply to everyone, at least if your comment is worth replying and not just dumb, it also helps that he has good social skills, he's not awkward to talk to, the vibes are especially great when his wife is also on the stream with him.

3:50 I got 100-300 viewers on KZbin live stream back in 2016. I thought those numbers were horrible because KZbinrs that make a living have 100k+ views per video. I didn’t realize 300 live viewers for a stream is amazing. I deleted everything out of embarrassment and became an engineer.

Yeah but, to put some of my own experiences to page: I started streaming 2.5 years ago on KZbin, 1.5 years ago I moved to Twitch and started a playthrough that led to some honest-to-goodness success, at least for an otherwise nobody like me, including multiple consistent chatters. Then, once I finished that playthrough, that attention just stopped, the chatters stopped showing up, and that honestly did hurt. I've come to realize much of that was because the game I was playing through, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, had a very tight-knit community in itself, and starting myself off in that led to people coming to my stream not for me, but for the game. Nowadays I just do what I can where I can. I consider myself a much better streamer now than back then, and while my dreams of becoming some big streamer have been, understandably, humbled, it developed into a hobby with some shockingly solid career skills attached. I will admit, any time I get a consistent chatter, my stream quality vastly increases because I have someone to actually reflect my jokes or conversations off of, so don't be afraid to interact with that dead chat. Even one or two real messages means the world to nobodies like me.

Most of my 2views were on twitch, but the ads started to get unbearable on that platform so I rarely go on there unless im extremely bored. Adblockers work sometimes but it seems like they "patch" it out pretty frequently. KZbin 2views are hard to find or they have 2views because they kinda arent that good at being entertaining in the first place. Corpo 2views just arent the same as indies

NGL I skip all vtuber content where there's no vtuber actually on screen. Like all this stuff with irl content with giri bao and numi started making all of a sudden I just cant get into, I liked the old content but with this new content push I've been out. I was a really big fan of Romolla since she was an actual FGC member and a really good player but when they pivoted to showing face cam and moving away from FG content I just couldnt get back into it.
