I thoroughly enjoyed it. Of course the out of print decks are the sparkliest. I often think on these things but haven’t pulled out my decks to compare them like you are here. I’m curious, do you enjoy any of the Hermetic Kabbalah decks with pips? I remember in one of your previous videos you sharing how you are not so much into the associations that these decks subscribe to. But decks like Thoth by Harris/Crowley and Golden Dawn Tarot by Ciscero have pips that are different than the decks you’ve showed so far. Maybe (absolutely no pressure) you would enjoy playing with those kinds of decks to explore new pip arrangements??? Either way, I appreciate your unique tastes and interests, thank you for sharing :)

@crossroadstoryteller8768 I'm curious if you have any hybrid decks I didn't show here. I know there are others like the Keymaster. To answer your question: I'm so put off by Hermetic Kabbalah tarot writers I have to say I have a hard time with most of these decks. The closest I have is Tarot Balbi which I featured in the previous pips video. I did also do a comparison of the Golden Dawn, Thoth, and Waite decks but I got rid of the Golden Dawn and Thoth. Lady Frieda Harris was undoubtedly a talented artist (not to gloss over her problematic politics). I do love a few of her pips: the 9 of Swords, the Ace and the 8 of Discs. So pretty. But I don't get on with Crowley's keywords, and the Fool in that deck reminds me of the Cybermen of Dr. Who. The Golden Dawn.....at least the one that is attributed to Israel Regardie / Robert Wang, is difficult for me to take seriously. I think you'll hear that in my commentary in the video. Not to disparage or be disrespectful of other's preferences, it just looks rather unrefined, especially compared with the Thoth. The Cicero version is of a much higher artistic skill and coherence than the Wang. Thanks for the visit and the comments! I appreciate observations and points of view that differ from my own. I wonder what other Hermetic/Kabbala decks you like. I'm somewhat drawn to Tarot of the Spirit.

Wow! So glad you mentioned the Keymaster tarot! I would have never found that on my own. I’m a student of tarot as a practitioner of Hermetic Kabbalah, so I’m perhaps as much into it as you aren’t. (Which is very much okay with me, just wanted you to have a clearer idea of where our views do coincide.) I am only recently (2022) branching out into exploring TdM & playing cards, but I find it all fascinating. I totally understand your distaste for the Regardi/Wang deck and totally respect your distaste for people playing central roles in western mystery traditions (like the Golden Dawn and Thelema). And, perhaps you would enjoy the Builders of the Adytum (aka B.O.T.A) deck. It is sorta in between a RWS and Regardi/Wang, but it is designed for you to color yourself so you can add any of your own associations through the coloring process. Perhaps you could use the same art supplies as you are using/used on your color-in Vacchetta. Also, if your only reason for disliking the Thoth deck is it’s creator’s biographies and the fool card, you might enjoy M.M. Meleen’s decks. No pressure because they are sorta pricey to just see if you like them, but the minors on her decks are really creative & visually appealing (IMHO). I’m sure there are other decks to talk about, but after sleeping on it, these were the ones that floated to the surface 😁 Hope you enjoy the engagement even if my recommendations turn out poorly. Thank you for making fun content.

Omg, I almost forgot, yes to Tarot of the Spirit. I have heard really good things about the class series associated with the deck & would so enjoy studying it deeply. Yes!
