I think she knows deep down she’s a mess, but she always has the kids’ best interest at heart. I don’t think it’s right to damn her for one flaw, albeit it being a major one.

I love that Brennan calculated the terminal velocity of a body falling - that's detail I appreciate

Terminal velocity for a body is 120 mph or 176 feet per second, not the 32 feet per second that he claims at 1:23:44, and it would take over 5 seconds to reach terminal velocity. I think he meant that he did all of the calculations for his next assertions when he said he did the math, or else he did the math for terminal velocity really, really incorrectly.

@@bubbledoubletroubleyeah… you’re right. At a quarter mile, starting at 0 and accelerating at normal gravity, it would take only about 12 seconds to hit the ground which in D&D terms is only 2 rounds… but 7 rounds just felt better and ended up being exactly what Fabian needed to succeed.

Accelerating from rest in a free fall, it takes 1 and a half turn dnd time to fall to your doom. But it is not like I would root for Fabian dying here so it is what it is.

As a poly person, the whole cheating and polyamory plot line is amazingly tragic. It is so obvious that Sandra Lynn SHOULD be in a poly relationship but makes her poly bf monogamous instead of facing her inner values, while simultaneously breaking that trust by cheating for a second time (which, the last time that happened, threw Gilear into a depression). I didn't think something would actually come up when Jaw Bone mentioned staying monogamous with her but whenever someone changes themselves for a partner, it always makes me a little suspicious about whats going on behind that. I hope Jaw Bone has more of a reaction to this than just "im poly anyway!" Cause, even though that COULD be a realistic reaction for someone willing to look away from their partners actions, it doesnt change the fact that hurts for a poly person. I dont think ive ever watched a series of videos that use the terms cuck (they joke about gilear in that context i believe), cheating, and polyamory without it being horribly offensive so, bravo Brennan.

Such a good point about how cheating hurts even a poly person. It has to be such a violation to come to terms with a partner wanting you to change your identity for them, and then you do, you do everything they ask you to, only to find they aren't keeping to the same rules themselves. To me that would feel like "Oh, you don't want us to be poly, you just want to be a cheater with double standards."

@@talb.1805the reason why poly relationships work is because of honesty. They agree to a set of rules and any poly person will tell you they communicate a lot. The fact that she requested their relationship to be monogamous meant she broke his trust by being with Garthy. It’s made worse by the fact that he would not had cared if she slept with them if he had the relationship HE wanted. But he’d agreed to a relationship SHE wanted and then she betrayed the relationship anyway.

It would make sense that Bill as the embodiment of pirate chaos would leave pregnant women in every port he visited. Cap. James vs Fabian's Warlock Cult seems to have been written as a much more involved plot line, but it didn't get a chance to happen. Organic storytelling!

The Ball & Fig’s extraction attempt was horrendously anxiety inducing, and all but reassuring. Kristen & Fig’s unhinged ability to ensnare even the most levelheaded and logical members of their party plagues my nightmares. Both characters are strenuously entertaining in the same way a pyromaniac toddler might be giddy after starting their third dumpster fire that week. Like, that might be an interesting encounter, but you’re not leaving it without some fear sweat on ya neck. 10 out of 10 (con ambien & numerous pauses for deep breathing)

I recognize her arc and path as a character and that it's nuanced but her personality is largely annoying bc she tends to de rail situations the most out of all the pc's. I don't really find her bits that funny either but none of this is too say i absolutely hate the character although i personally tend not to like any of ally's characters all that much so its more an issue of the player not the character. For fig i get frustrated how emily often makes wildy stupid decisions that for jokes may seem or be quite funny admittedly tend to cause long lasting consequences for herself and the party that i wish she would think out just a little bit more. Otherwise i like her.

20 vs 30 is a major disparity. They would need a Surprise round and height advantage to make it work, and the pirates would have to target the other pirates rather than their Captain. Action economy is the only way to win a fight like that. They needed a Surprise + Alpha Strike round just to level the playing field. Everyone targeting the Illithid first round ensured their doom.

spoilers . . . . . . . 47:33 "tomorrow will be great though!" eesh adaine i have some bad news for you 1:08:29 sometimes I really wonder if the Feather Fall warlock, the unnamed warlock, or Old Young Benjamin will ever make a reappearance. like, the Feather Fall warlock has no context for any of this. they jump off before all the chaos really starts. imagine them climbing back up and literally everyone's dead and they have to try and piece together what happens. 1:30:22 "you were in a situation where you just couldn't get out, huh?" oof. gorgug's intuitive insight strikes again. 1:55:47 i wonder if this is where brennan decided to truly curse gilear. I'm also extremely concerned about what kind of yogurt brennan has eaten in his life that he has this strong association between yogurt and like. pain and inadequacy and weakness.
