Pov: you're questing on your first toon. You took the boat from Ratchet to Booty Bay 30 levels ago, but the mobs saw you from a mile away and killed you. You're level 40 now and you got a mount right away because you took mining and skinning and sold the mats on the AH. Ha! Still got 37g leftover. You downloaded that one questing addon a guildie told you about and there's a bunch of quests in that tall building with the Tauren on top. You can't mount on the deck, but hey. That shiny new 4-0 next to your name is enough of a flex.

When I started WoW in 2006, opened the package of the game and skimmed the manual before reading it thoroughly, I noticed the map and saw Booty Bay, the fairst thought in my mind was: 'that name is f'cking awesome!' When I visited it (being lvl 20 and running through STV XD) I loved it! And I still love it!

I feel you. Back before even Wrath came out, I was so proud of myself for leveling up to 18.... Now that Cata has come out, I hit 85 and felt... barely anything. A small sense of accomplishment, on par with that which I felt when leveling up an alt. It just doesn't feel like much of an achievement, max level.

I took my time with the game, learned the characters and environments, and most importantly, took time away from the questing to spend some time with my guildmates. And honestly, if I ever took part in the "leveling rush" that came with a new expansion, it would be to experience the new story firsthand. Nothing more.
