5:12 There's this weird list of rules called the Six Pillars of Ninjutsu that dates back to the Oho Era of Japan. (That's the 3 year period where Minamoto no Yoshitomo challenged the Taira Clan for you fans of the Yakuza games) There's a specific rule "Kyojitsu tenkan ho" or the "Way to use Truth and Falsehood" that instructs ninja on killing. Ninja are only supposed to kill enemies directly in front of them, not the ones in their peripheral; because those enemies can be avoided.

Why can't Donatello ever get a break? Why is it out of all the four brothers, he has to get the worst of it? Looking like he's emaciated, and is going insane....I know the others have their own trauma but it seems like Donnie goes through the ringer and all the worst stuff happens to him. As for the final thoughts, I assume a time skip happened after the final issue of the IDW comics, and something that happened between the final issue and the relaunch happened that caused the brothers to go their separate ways. Maybe something Donnie saw during his time travels caused it.

I don't think so, because even IMAGE TMNT has some cool stuff like Shredder Raphael, not to mention that IMAGE Raph volunteers to be a Shredder to protect New York, unlike IDW "Dark Leo", who was just brainwashed but caouldn't do anything. Mostly, IDW TMNT just introduced more nostalgia baits from other TMNT series and twist it into the lamest craps posible.

Tired of these stupid misery porn craps in IDW TMNT over the years. All of the IDW turtles end up more bad than good because of contrived. Crazy stick figure Donnie is classic Jason Aaron bullshit. Mutilate a character for some vague dramatic emphasis. Before that, Tom Waltz had B&R broke Donnie's spine, did that lead to some character development? No, just some unnecessary torture. Leo's soul searching journey was just an attempt at suicide for no given reason, because Leo hasn't gotten to do anything in several years now. Mikey's celebrity depression was foisted on him by the story, rather than being something built off any previous story, and the only reason he's even there is because of some vague unresolved anger with his family that, just like the rest of them, happened off-screen, has not been explained, probably won't ever be built upon, and all amounts to a really overblown reason to have the turtles split up so they can get back together again after the gimmick of having 4 solo issues for each character.
