Not really, the Kraken isn't a villain, just Jones' trump card. I don't see how it being killed off-screen is a disappointment, we've already seen what it's capable of and it was already built up before it attacked the Black Pearl. Bringing back the Kraken to have Jack and the others defeat it literally defeats the entire purpose of the Kraken: a force of nature, it was *never* meant to be some great antagonist to defeat (that role goes to Jones and Beckett), so having it be actually beaten would be like OPM's Saitama be defeated in a serious fight - goes against the whole point.
