I have the S on the front of my Moustache, using it every weekend at Vallnord bike park. I truely love it. It's good everywhere, rocks, roots...

Well man, thanks for this review, I bought M for front and H for rear. I got same feeling with the M as you do with S. It feels like you loosing grip, but you dont what really sucks, because I bouth it for XC/trail riding in 2.4 to get more confidence. Before that I had Schwalbe Racing Ray in 2.25 and I have to say that they felt much more grippy than Pirelli tyres. And the H in the back, I dont know. With Racing Ralph I was using 28 Psi, because I weight almost 100Kg. With H in rear a put in almost 45 psi and the tyre is still half flat and that is nothing pleasent to ride with.

These are long lasting tires in any means. Not really grippy compound but if you’re not a extreme rider these are ok. What I don’t understand is the M version, it supposed to fit between the R and S?

According to Pirelli, the "S" tyre can also be used in the rear, which you will find in other reviews, did you test that?

I'm currently on 27.5 x 3" Specialized Purgatory, thinking about going to Shwalbe Magic Mary 2.6 - 2.8 or Michelin tires. I would love to see a plus tire review on these, please!

I currently run a set a 2.8 magic mary's on my Haibike, they have a lot of grip and very durable, I ride mostly rocky trails with sharp lava rocks and cactus thrown in for good measure, these tires have held up really well, after 2 yrs or riding they still have plenty of tread and very few punctures, I put double the amount of orange seal in these tires, since its an E- bike weight is not a bid deal, If you want more grip, magic mary's will not disappoint.

Really appreciate the quality & honesty in your review. But....like other similar reviews I've watched, it would appear you chose the wrong tyre from the Pirelli catalogue (at least on the front) Pirelli's approach to tread pattern/compound is different to what we're all used to. The 'Mixed' designation tread pattern is the go-to tyre for most conditions, not the Soft. I think you effectively choose Pirelli's "Shorty" and then wondered why it felt weird on your local trails!

Thanks for the comment and, fair enough! It is however all they had to send us so, we did what we could. Plus some folks who live in areas with similar terrain may now have some useful intel. haha.

Thanks for the great review! Have you guys tested the Michelin’s? Either the Wild Enduro or the DH line? Would be interested in your groups thoughts!

It’s been a long time to be honest. We’d like to try them again and see how they stack up.

Don't love their tires on cars... interesting to hear I wouldn't like them on bikes too.
