Went through a lot with him. Fought for him, bled my heart onto the floor. He chose her. After everything I supported him through. He left my life upside down. When everything was a mess, he left. He chose his ex, who put him in prison, whom he wasn't supposed to be in contact with. He made his choice. I turned into my worst toxic self toward him after. I feel shame, but it was because of the pain. I'm healing, feeling better. Now he wants to start again. I dont trust him. He isn't healed, he isn't stable. And even if he is sincere, I am stubborn and heavily guarded. And yes, I switch on and off. It has taken a long time to be able to maintain that side of me. I tell him I don't want 'us' again and he doesn't stop. I'm stuck fighting myself now. He is wishy washy and in and out. I am too territorial for just dating. I'm all or nothing, and that can be seen as a toxic trait. I can't date someone who will go out and date others. I've been his fun, that's all it was. I wanted and expected commitment and growth. I can never have that with him because he will leave eventually. 3 weeks of 'fun' just sounds like another heartbreak to me and not worth it. I call quits.

There is such back-and-forth about me wanting to have a conversation with him. First, I wanted him to talk to me so that I could heal. Then I realized that talking to him would be more destructive because he was only interested in hurting me. Now I’m at the point where I want the conversation to happen because I’m ready for it to be in the past and I hope for him to also heal from it. I’ve blocked him on all social media as well as by phone so he can’t reach me that way. But I do feel like I’m gonna run into him at some point. I have been really slow to trust people and I know that it comes from this situation confirming the trust issues I already had.

I really do not think I'm that stubborn. Just have very high morals, values, virtues, principles and above all integrity. I believe in honesty, manogammy, dedication, loyalty.
