How well would this reel work for casting a 3/8 to 1/2 oz rapala on a medium heavy rod for big pike? How fast of action would you recommend?

I have this exact reel on a ML Abu Garcia IKE Rod, and I use it with a weightless wacky rig. No problems casting at all. For the money. GREAT REEL

I have one paired with a Proficiency Flash Ultra Light Rod (such a color clash) still haven’t got the hang of casting a bfs reel. I’m going to give it another go tomorrow with 8lb braid instead of straight fluorocarbon.

It's not exactly bfs, though you might be able to use it for that. The reel holds a bit more line than a normal bfs and I presume it's heavier but it is a lot more finesse than standard baitcasters.

How do you rate piscifun's baitcaster lineup does the quality/ durability reflect against each other? So would you buy a alloy m > spark pro, torrent II, xcs in that order? I want a nice baitcaster but can't afford the big brands price tags like a slx dc. I looked at a abu pro max combo and it just felt mega cheap.

I bought the Carbon XCS and 2 Torrent II on Amazon... Im going to keep the XCS but return the Torrent II... Torrent seems like a decent reel but they are pretty big in the hand.

I have a 2 year old Spark ..it's red color...but it's the exact body to a T, same spool, excellent brake system, and the 8:1:1 ...all the same but just different paint scheme. It was a great reel for the money (I used it for pitching/flipping) ....until the thumbar - which turns out is very thin plastic - cracked and broke off when depressing it. Here's the thing: I contacted them and they said it was discontinued and I CAN'T ORDER THE REPLACEMENT PART! The part from this reel is the same. Do you know how I could get one?

@@THEREELTEST yeah...not here in Portugal (Spain Amazon) ...honestly, wouldn't buy another Piscifun --no parts? and that thumbar is WEAK! ...And your channel is GREAT BTW, been following for years ...can you recommend a high-gear, small body reel under/in/around $100 that's a solid value, probably Ali Express? (and did you know how hard it is to get right-handed baitcasters in Europe? 😩) thanks, dude!
