I just picked this up. I was down to the kastking sharky 3, lew's xfinity, and this one in the under $50 price range for a baitcaster. The 8 to 1 is what finally sold me on it. The quality was there and the reviews were glowing. I hope it is a good one.

I own the carbon xcs and the phantom from Piscifun. Both are STUNNING reels. I have been looking at the Shimano mgl 150 but for half the price i can buy a carbon xcs AND the Torrent II. I have seen a few reviews on it and if it is anything like the other Piscifun reels, it will be a great reel. Thanks for a good, honest opinion.

Their baitcasters i have they are ok. However their spinning reels are very nice my favorite combo right now is a major craft benkei rod paired with a 500 series piscifun carbon x II. The reel casts like a county mile.

Alternative reel for torrent are Kingdom Flyplum and Sea Knight Falcon II.

No idea. It’s a 100 series reel, but I can’t really take mine apart. Couldn’t find anything online about it either. Cheers

Still using it, no issues with casting. I have reels that cast further, but I’m usually throwing jerkbaits and small crank baits. Hope this helps Cheers
