I get it. Effort must retain and show its value. BUT since new players have a 7+ years disadvantage coming into BDO, the chances of them quitting are near 100% That's why bdo always had such a low retention rate since release. Because only the same veterans keep playing lol. New players don't have any equal grounds to enjoy anything competitive. Furthermore, HIS take IS disingenuous because bdo is a HARD Pay To Win game. And gamers no longer want to give Whales the satisfaction of enjoying blowing thousands of dollars and calling it 'effort' Or paying Pinoys to grind for them. Oh, yeah I know around 10 people that do that. I know people that spent 40k in bdo and have no skills in pvp yet they always want us free to play to be impressed AND on top of that, DARE say they spend no money and that BDO gives u everything for free. -_- Bdo players lie a lot to keep pretentious values. No. Whale kills me = I just go away -> Whale bored -> whale quits -> game lose money. This cycle has killed many games. You don't get to say: "oh people are not motivated to improve their gear to catch up with whales" I wanna curse but youtube won't let me, so you do it.

Sure, but the RNG system is fucking horrible for gear progression. The capped content is good, and i say that as a 730gs+ who bought all my gear. I personally also think the 100 man nodes on uncapped are a fucking severe lagfest. If they introduced more 40-60 man nodes i'd be doing uncapped. Not all geared people like to do uncapped because of this reason. How are new players even gonna be able to catch up if they removed the capped content? They gonna have to invest thousands of hours before they can even start pvping. And once they reach 740gs the gear progression have gone even further ahead so they will still be behind.

Just for clarification. I didn't say no capped content. Capped content IS important and I was an advocate for adding capped content when the game had none. Letting newer and casual players experience the game is important as well. But we certainly over corrected and for a period of time a lot of people were unmotivated to progress because it felt as if all the content was capped. Even the best grind spots felt capped since only 5% of your gear contributed to it. PA has been doing a great job at swinging the pendulum backwards and hopefully we eventually land on a perfect balance in the middle. Haters gunna hate.

Totally, me as a capped content enjoyer thinks we could literally combine tier 1,2,3,4 into 1 cap and use that SAME cap for balenos and mediah sieges. The only variety that dictates what kinda guilds show up is attendance anyeays

I actually really like the AOS caps and wish they would use this capping system for all capped content. It gives a just enough flexibility for different classes to have appropriate builds for them. @@sarser8089

for zethian , i never intended to get gear tbh i liked the combat and i was hoping the game has a 1v1 arena with separate gear like Aos , which they added later, the first season ever they released was the most fun one out there , i never looked at the game as a gear progression based game even tho i knew it was, i was just in it for what's free to grab , now i'm one of the lucky mfs that got rng carried and i am 713 gs but i still loath the grind aspect to my life , i just like the pvp of it , i couldn't care less about gs

I agree with the gear aspect. I think it is healthy to have places, such as Marni's as a guaranteed route to make money. But also not be, Generally, the most proftiable as well. I think Marni's realm was an amazing addition to help combat a portion of the overpopulation of grind spots but shouldn't be the go-to for every hour of grinding when up. There is an hour cooldown, but truthfully marni's probably makes up the majority of grinding for most players outside of zones that don't have Marni. That being said, starting BDO and getting pvp'd running blood wolves 3-4 years ago, really put into perspective and made it fun/enjoyable to PVP in this game. Incessant PVP and griefing can be an issue. To help combat this, Tiered/scaled Arsha servers. I think the addition of an Arsha server, or new/revamped server in general would be a great idea. Perhaps something similar to Marni's where maybe not a new server is needed altogether. But throwing in 1/2 sets of caps arsha . I agree that moving away from capped is good, and this sounds like another cap. But realistically, it would be necessary in short form because anyone currently can now run through season and get enough gear to grind elvia within their first 3 weeks of ever playing the game, easily. Having a fresh account/player sitting at 270/330 600 GS isn't going to stand a chance against the 700+GS core players 309/400+ There should be an incentive whereby the lower 269/300/uncapped arsha servers start at 50/65%/75% drop rates respectively- to make up for the fact that you should be fighting other players, and evidently lose time grinding. So a higher drop rate helps combat this. And lower down to a 40% drop rate if there hasn't been any player pvp combat in the past 30 minutes. This incentivizes PVP, and also still reaps better rewards than regular servers if no pvp is happening at the time. The first few caps are just necessary now, the game has been out too long. Full open-world PVP in all forms is a tough sell, if say marni's were to be drastically nerfed. Almost every other mmorpg that has PVP has some form of cap by level, combat level, etc. It is healthy. But ultimately the end goal would be to climb up arsha servers, and get better! 269 ap cap 300 ap cap Uncapped Also these caps are very rough, I think they could definitely be optimized with DP/HP caps as well. Since even if you're 269/319 DP the difference in journals/accessories alone could just wipe it. Perhaps 4000 HP cap, 30% soft cap up to final cap of 4,500/5000 for the 269 area since this bracket is more meant for quicker fights and not endless DP/HP pooling.
