Lets not be confused: they are “free” tax stamps because they had no record of who owns them and they cannot take them from you later if they don’t know you have it.

I live in maryland and my state only allows SBR if it meets minimum overall length of 29”. So guns like my CZ scorpion, Ruger pc charger, Stribog, etc won’t meet the minimum requirement. So it screws states like mine.

As a guy new to having to use a wheelchair(10 mnths in), this sucks. I just started trying to shoot again. I have to shoot pistols. I drive between 3 states. Can't use it the way I had hoped

The rule does not state that you only have to register your pistol if you shoot from the shoulder. If you have a pistol that has a barrel under 16", it is now considered an SBR, regardless of how you shoot it. They put the whole "this is not a ban on pistol braces" because they tried that already and it didn't work. This is their way around it. So if you have a rifle/pistol with a barrel under 16" and you shoot it with a pistol brace the way it's suppose to be used, it is still consider a SBR now. Must be registered or taken off and destroyed or turned in to the ATF.

Nope. This is a de facto ban of all the previously legal pistols in states that don't allow SBR by state law.

In all fairness that's what they are is sbrs. They are not pistols. That was a loophole to get around sbrs. Now they caught on.
