Great video as usual. I was glad to see someone shooting irons for those of us who may not be opposed to red dots, but still have irons. I'd also love to see some use of holsters that are IWB and not always AIWB.

So the grey ring is actually the bullseye at 50yds, the black is the bullseye at 25yds in conventional/bullseye pistol competition. If you wanna make it harder stay in the black or even add your points based on scoring ring.

Using iron sights enhances your capability, but it does not means that someone hates WMO, if asked you to use stock sights from long distance (40 yds drill). I personally use RMR on my EDC CCW, but I also often practice on iron sights to keep my capability intact. I love to watch your videos as you guys are doing good work which is really worth watching, not wasting time, so keep it up folks 👍

Great video guys. I love the drills series the most. And Hi my name is Chris I am a dot-aholic. Every one of my handguns has one and even my 686 will have one once my LPA sights arrive so I have a mounting rail for it lol. Can't help myself I just like the dot.

Honestly, as crazy as it sounds, i shoot irons better after i have been shooting red dots for a while. I think that was because I have always been a target focused shooter. I know what you are saying...no you weren't, but i had to be because my eyesight wasn't that good when I started and i didn't know how bad until i got Lasik surgery. So there.
@learnguitarat6043 Жыл бұрын
Really outstanding shooting with that distance and speed. (And the target was moving a bit..) I'm curious why you choose to set the distance in meters instead of yards?
@Tier1Concealed Жыл бұрын
I think thats just was we saw Kawa use in his video running this drill. Some people like meters more... doesn't make a huge difference at these close distances.

@@Tier1Concealed I agree with the dude, great job with the irons. people that knock red dots are the same ones to knock other gun manufacturers. Talk crap about someones brand of night sites they use. Always negative Nancy's that complain about everything in life. Red dots are awesome like iron sites, people have preference and chose what they want on the gun.
@730harley12 жыл бұрын
The only reason someone would be a red dot hater, is because they have never used one. Good job with the irons.

so true. thank you!

Or they've been shooting for decades with iron sights and HAVE tried dots...and found them lacking. There is not a damned thing wrong with iron sights if one knows how to use em. They'll never break, their batteries will never die, they'll never be accidentally turned off when needed, there is no fogging their lenses or adjusting their brightness to compensate for ambient light. And at normal defensive distances, they are actually faster if one knows how to use them.

Is it -10 for outside the circle or is it no points? You said -10 if that's true, you would add up the good hits then subtract your misses..that would mean you last run was a 280 not 290. 🤔 makes those misses hurt even more
@Tier1Concealed2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the confusion! Each hit inside the grey/black would be worth 10 points, any outside would be worth 0 points, OR -10 from the total of 300 possible points. Hope that makes sense haha.

Is there a passing score for this drill?
@Tier1Concealed2 жыл бұрын
its unclear if there is a legitimate pass/fail standard for this drill. A lot of people talk about making 90% hits under the time standards as a "pass," or a 270/300.

Just got a holster from you guys and it doesn’t have a “click” into place when going into the holster. Is this normal it a a p320 with an o-light on it
@Tier1Concealed2 жыл бұрын
Yeah its fairly normal for certain gun/light combos. You will still be able to adjust the retention to make it tight or loose enough.
