Excellent review! Personally, I don’t really care about packagings in general. All I mainly care about is the toy inside because I want to either play with the toy 🧸 myself or share it with my family and friends. Anyways, I’m planning to buy myself this pack eventually, followed by the Sodor Cargo Delivery Set with Cranky the Crane.

I know I should be happy that this Celebration Engines gift pack wasn't cancelled after all, but I'm not because of Mattel's horrid mistreatment of Thomas since late 2017. I know that between this pack and the Sodor Cargo Delivery set, this year was a better one for Thomas Wooden Railway than the previous one, where the only new thing was released for that year was a new Day Out With Thomas model, but that's not saying much. It's like saying that Shaq Fu is a better SNES game than Bebe's Kids. Things would be very different if I were running the Thomas Wooden Railway line. For one thing, I'd be giving the fans what they want, namely new models of characters like Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver, Toad, and Daisy that are more accurate to their TV series counterparts than previous models. Because of Mattel's horrid mistreatment of Thomas in general, I cut ties with them and moved on to many of TWR's competitors that put more effort into their products. This year alone, I bought several new items from NameTrains and ZanyTrains; a return loop with a children's playground design for the former, and Rustin Dustin (a Wooden Railway/LEGO hybrid train) and double ascending track with track carved into both sides for the latter. As much as I want to be optimistic about 2025 being a better year for TWR, especially with Thomas' 80th anniversary coming up that year, I don't trust Mattel to make it happen.
