I personally own a 2014 Fiat Bravo with a 140bhp MultiAir engine and now 240'000 km on the clock as daily driver. I do an oil change every 12'500 km (hint: use oil compliant with Fiat S2 spec), swap/clean MultiAir filters ond the the Banjo Bolt on the MGT1238Z every 30'000km. The engine still runs with its first MultiAir Unit and Turbo. At 180'000km I replaced the clutch and the flywheel. At 210'000km the ignition coils and throttle body. Aprart from the hoses (cheap materials, replace with silicon ones) the car is rock solid. I've seen some diaphragmas going south, but this can be solved by replacing the wastegate actuator (e.g. Mambatek with yellow spring for stock ecu). If you consider tuning a MultAir car for race track use only: 1. Start with a MultiAir Engine that comes with the GT1446 Turbo (MGT1238z is too small) and decide if you want easy max Power (TD04 kit) or a bit less, but in a wider band usable power (GT1446 upgrade) 2. Upgrade the camshaft to make it run better in the upper revs till redline (hint: also on TJET) 3. Replace any f***ing stock hose in the car, before it breaks before going nuts with solenoids a diverter valve changes.

Going back through the vids. After a year of owning my Lusso, I began building enthusiasm for modding it. Now, I'm starting year 3 having gained a lot more understanding. This is awesome to see. I dont remember if you kept the car, but I hope it is still treating you well. John might get some 124 traffic outta me once I start looking at making power. Right now, it is a slow trek through then smaller addons. Wheels, shifter, exhaust (Axleback), and Hi-flo intake. Tax season is here. I wanna lower it, do some more light cosmetics. After that...its more power time. DOHC seems really enticing... Thanks for this series.

Would getting the Boche ECU and getting it to work not be easier than reprogramming the stock one? I will be 1st in line for the TJet setup if some sort of kit comes to market. My 2013 Abarth multiair bricked a few months ago. Looking to replace the motor
@PistonsAndPetrol5 жыл бұрын
Cramer there’s is a way. The Italians have been doing it for a while. They use the engine harness and ECU from another car with a plugin CanBus module. At the end of the day, this will be easier for anyone else that wants to do the same after the R&D is done.

I’m fairly new to Fiats but fell in love with the Abarth 500s and 124s! I’ve been googling a good bit this past week on aftermarket parts for the 124s and haven’t come across many vendors selling thoroughly tested products..I’m so glad I came across P&P! So informative and entertaining! I hate not seeing more people get into the 124s as I feel like there’s so much potential for awesome builds like Eddies! I guess my question would be, where would you guys recommend getting simple bolts ons from? I’ve been getting the notion to steer clear of EC as well lol

Question i have a fiat bravo T-JET with 200000Km , i bought a stage 3 TDO4L turbo to upgrade the original one also installed a cold air intake and an upgraded intercooler also a set of cams from an abarth , when i take it to be tuned will the engine handle 260hp or will it fail due to the high mileage?

Hiya Eddie I was just wondering if you could give me some advice I'm looking at buying a 124 abarth spider I like to get it up to 240 250 bhp but I don't want it to have big turbo lag would like the power as linner as possible and would like your opinion which would be my best option
@PistonsAndPetrol4 жыл бұрын
My black 124 from the early videos was exactly there. The 1752 does not have any more perceivable lag over the factory 1446 and it’s still my number 1 recommendation for anyone that wants a ~250 hp Fiat 124
