So many affordable ways to speed up Amiga's. I like swapping between Coffin etc and a more traditional desktop and screen modes. There is something about booting into a demo that maxes out the chip ram using a minimal start-up.

Get info on the Demo Chris and add PAL to the information bit, this way when your demos run they will run in PAL on your NTSC machine. :)

Cool...on my to do list. I have all the parts just need to make it work: regular PiStorm, PLCC2DIP, & Pi 3b. Not the recommended config but someone got it to work in the A600. I just need to figure out how to make it fit together. Eventually want to grab a Pi Zero 2W but they are so expensive right now.

Chris. Your video is the only media on the internet whatsoever that mentions my problem: PLCC hat falling off the Denise. I have the same kit, bought from Flaming Lilly or something and then built myself, and the hat just won’t sit still. I find a link to your video (already a subscriber though and thank you as always) and find to my dismay that your solution is … hot gluing the damn thing to the board. I really don’t want to do that . Oh well, I’ll have to email Tigerlillies or whatever they’re called 😂

Hi Chris, what would you recommend for a stock a600 with nothing on it, I like to use whdload and nothing else. CF Card or SD Card? which Acceleration Card. I don't want to put to much money in it.😂 thanks from Germany, also for your great work on the PiMiga Images every Year 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘.

stock A600 wont run anything whdload, you need at LEAST 4mb ram, so get a belly board to update the agnus to 2mb chip, then something cool like the A630 rev3 , a 68030@50mhz w 64mb ram that snaps on the 68000 then your set. a IDE2CF adaptor and game on.

There is one or two cards. But they are still basic cards that they have made, in order to devellop the software on. I have seen one picture and that is about it. But the card is in no way ready for release at all. Personally I am looking forward to it my self.

You would have to make one yourself. I do not have a prebuilt image , only for the pi /linux os

@@Polydeukes68 the pistorm EMU68 is a bare metal emulator (no linux) for a CPU replacement on the real amiga. you CAN use hard drive partitions you carve out as type76 hd partitions (amiga native) and have a fast AF hard drive and cpu. networking and more. shared folders etc... BUT for pimiga, you would need to make these hard disk partitions first, then just copy the contents of the pimiga disks or whatever to those drives. it would be a large task, but not too bad if you made everything in winuae and copied it to the card. see my emu68 videos on how to build the hard disks, i give a breif overview but should clarify a few things. or at least teach a man to fish...

Maybe I'll just update my Pimiga 1.5 to 2.0 on my RPi 400 and do more traditional accelerated version out of my Amiga 600 using the Pistorm. And then figure out how to transfer the games etc. to the A600 system for easy access.

Hi, what kickstart ROM and system -version would you (or anybody else) recommend for Amiga 600 + Pistorm -combo with a 1MB memory expansion? Mostly gaming and music in mind. ROM 3.1 + OS 3.1 ok? Thanks!

Pistorm can be any rom and you get 512mb fast ram so the sky is the limit

Pistorm regardless of which model it is on, always requires a SD card to be inserted for its boot files and configuration to load the emulated CPU and ram

Well what can I say Chris….Here’s me thinking that without Apollo making a V4 Vampire for the A600, what else can be done? Well you answered that question with the PiStorm 👍🏻 I take it though the PiStorm for the A600 will allow for AGA emulation on the A600? Or is that just a Pipe dream for now? PiStorm doesn't emulate or replace any of the Amiga chipset. It is simply a 68k emulator with some extra features like RTG. So AGA won't be coming to non-AGA machines unfortunately

AGA or not. PiStorm is probably going to end up being faster than any vampire in the end. Just imagine what the PiStorm 1200 will be able to push. Also. If you are only into games and music, then you do not need AGA. There are so few AGA games compared to OCS games. And every Amiga can do protracker. But an Amiga1200 is indeed sweet to own non the less.

@@brostenen Get where you are coming from and I know Chris has the same opinion which he expressed on other Content he uploaded. But, the Vampire V4 cards actually now provide AGA to non-AGA systems. Yep the PiStorm is cheaper and quicker etc.. But it’s missing that piece. Sort agree and disagree about not having AGA. There are some programs out there that are optimised for AGA such as “NetSurf”. A few of the AGA games also add more sparkle. There are currently people in the community converting MSDOS titles to “AGA” at the moment. Horse for courses as they say.

Do you mind me asking what monitor that is that copes so well with the Amiga's native signal? I have a Dell U2412M that does display the amiga signal, via a VGA adapter, but its in a small box with awful vertical banding.

That is the same speed as my expensive Vampire V4+ Standalone. How faster the device how unstable it’s. Like my AMIGA 1200 with the TF1260 much better stability. Great for AGA 68060 Demos but not so great with WHDLoad Games. For that the 68030 cards are the best. My Vampire V4+ Standalone is nice for Doom, Blood and more FPS. Waiting for the Raspberry Pi 400 Kit which PiAmiga 2.0 x64 would be great. Do now a lot of things with the Vampire V4+ Standalone hope that the Beta 8781 Core can get for it. The 8736 Alpha Core have to many issues with it for ApolloOS R8.2, AROS Caffeine v143 and COFFIN R60. The PiStorm would be great for my second AMIGA 500.
