I have a new Austin XL. I tried the 1st burn & afterwards found everything in the chamber (including the cooking grates) covered with ash & soot. I cleaned everything off & tried it again with the chimney cap unscrewed 7 turns. (Was told by customer service to try that). I just tried another burn & found ash/soot coating everything again. Currently, I'm not too happy & I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

It's likely that you didn't turn the dial to HIGH as it says in the manual. I did the same thing but caught it when I went and read the instructions manual while doing my initial burn-off. Could that have been the case?

Hello friend, I have an Austin XL. It’s no need to hold the prime button just press it one time and it will feed pellets.

The manual says to "push and hold"... for priming. It temporarily accelerates the auger to either "fill the void more rapidly" or to "increase the amount of pellets inside the burn chamber."

Try a different pellet brand. I read if you use a pellet that had alot of bark or any bark it'll leave your pellet grill with alot of ash. Best of luck I'll be trying lumberjack pellets here soon.

Just got this grill and wondering, when you turn the power off and it is still plugged in, is the fan supposed to keep running?
@dyinbreedbbq77585 жыл бұрын
The fan will continue to run for about 5 minutes after the unit has been turned off. This is part of the cool down process
@meghanpeachey80345 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's cooling down to shut off. Let it keep running and it will shut down itself.
