3 years ago I went to the shelter to adopt a dog . Our pitty passed away after giving us 16 great years! it was a very sad time for our family . Then I moved out with my gf bought a house and was very hesitant to get another dog . So I finally went to the shelter and seen 3 pitties that were found in the trash as puppies . They were in the shelter for 7 months & ofcourse I fell in love with all 3 with their sad little eyes . So I ended up adopting all 3 didnt want to separate the bond/love they had for each other. My gf wasn't to happy at the time but now she's loves all 3 of them . Now she my fiance, we have a beautiful baby boy , 3 beautiful pitties that keep our house full of joy . I would forever say that pitbulls are the most beautiful sweet , loving, loyal dogs.

Yeh but Luna is the calmer one, and they showed her being walked in the video. Even if a dog has a yard it's important to still walk them. Dogs need that, or they start acting up out of boredom. Exercise, discipline (training) and affection. That's what dogs need, in that order.
@ksc7435 жыл бұрын
Lidia Baker yes, as long as a dog can see outside and they are walked every day, an apartment is fine. I've always had a garden (I'm not American so we don't call them yards), and admittedly my dogs love lying on the grass in the sun, or under the tree, but I still walk them in nearby forests and trails every day. It's really important for them to socialise and to also read other dog's pee-mails!

@@carlagomez5274 we adopted them from the same litter it's ok so they wanna play what's so bad with that
@hannahrayne47734 жыл бұрын
Doctors don’t recommend buying two or more puppies from the same litter, let me explain why. They usually are much harder to train because they play a lot. They are prone to get a lot of separation anxiety because they’ve been together for awhile. Even if you train them apart getting them to listen will probably be a lot harder. One more thing, in the case with these two you wouldn’t really be able to breed Luna if you wanted to because even though the dogs are siblings the male will still try to breed, and it’s not good to inbreed a dog.
@czernya3074 жыл бұрын
@@hannahrayne4773 I found a pregnant pit-mix abandoned in the Bronx who had 7 puppies in my house. I kept one girl. Mother and daughter were almost the same age and very easy to train. I've had 3 more pits since, one rescued when he was 6 yrs-old. They were all easy to train; in fact, I taught the 6 yr-old male to squat instead of lifting his leg so that the urine won't burn my plants. Why breed more dogs when the shelters are filled and you can save a life?

They're so beautiful, I hope they have the best life ever. I rescued 2 baby sisters out of an empty parking lot, and only about 3 weeks old. Two little black pitties with white markings on their faces and feet.. they were jjst huddled together on the concrete in the middle of that empty lot, you could tell they hadn't moved since they were dumped there, probably the night before. Luckily, it was early morning when i missed my turn and used that driveway to turn around in. Thought it was a black tee shirt wadded up on the ground - but when it moved, i jumped out, and one started crying for help. They were so terrified and grateful to see me, I took them in my arms right away, and told them "you're coming with me, it's OK babies, you're saved now" I kept them both about 3 weeks, was able to keep one permanently and hated splitting them up but had to. Gave one girl, Chance, to someone close by so they can still visit. Kept the other, Mercy, and she is the love of my life, I mean she is cherished in this home and spoiled rotten :) ...thank you guys for having the hearts you do and helping the helpless, all dogs deserve a safe home, plenty to eat, a warm bed, lots of snuggles and playtime...Dogs are a gift from God to humans...

You are an angel! I've only fostered once...entirely by accident. My friend lived next to idiots who just let their animals roam loose ...right next to a country highway where ppl drive 90 plus mph. After I think the 3rd animal ended up roadkill she basically pupnapped little Honey not wanting to see her mowed down and she wanted me to take her and find her a new home. Honey was fearless and the cutest little thing...a wee tiny little curly haired terrier that just let me take her in my arms right away...zero ANY fear at all. I had no idea tho what to do but one of my clients(I'm a dog walker) asked if she should put her on NextDoor to find her a home. NextThing I know lol is getting way too many ppl wanting her so how do I choose the right home? That was hard...so many ppl giving me great reasons why they are the best choice of a home for her. Dummy me gets food poisoning from fish that I should hv known wasnt good ugh and now I have puppy that needs constant supervision...so I asked one of the families who really wanted her to pupsit while I recover. I brought her over to their house while I was so very sick but I had to do it,for her sake as well as mine. Very nice,very well off family that clearly spoiled their dogs...was a match made in heaven. The doodle loved her right away and they are the best play buddies despite the huge difference in size haha! So tiny little Honey was saved from those idiots and got the best home for she could ever ask for! Worked out beautifully!!!!

What beautiful dogs. I miss my little baby. She died a few years ago. My best friend! To Obi's new owners, please don't push down their bottoms when teaching them to sit use a treat for directing and rewarding them. I'm so glad they found forever homes! ❤🧡💛💚💜💙

It's almost hard to watch but they're so beautiful. I lost my little pit bull, Bella in October of 2023 so I've been on my own for a little more than six months now. When I rescued her she was nine months old and when she died we'd been together for nearly thirteen years. I have one living family member,my daughter and I live in North Carolina while she's in Sacramento, California. I'm 70 now so Bella's absence is mighty conspicuous. Now I'm not quite sure who rescued who. Luna is a dead ringer for her and behaved just like her when she was still a puppy. It's uncanny in a major way. Really. I have some health issues now and my fear was that she'd outlive me and end up in a shelter or with someone she wouldn't be happy with. I'd sometimes say a little prayer to plead her case and thankfully, tho difficult for me it worked out that she had an easy passing and died in my lap while I supported her. She'd been a happy dog and lived a good, long life so I'm very thankful. Now I'm thinking of adopting one more dog. I think I can pull it off if I take in an older dog, another pittie who's been in the shelter for a while who can't seem to get out or is on the kill list. It's a given that I do better with a dog in my life, but it's not purely a matter of self intrest. I want to liberate one more, but I'll never have another Bella. It occurs to me that they need us as much as we need them so it's sort of like a perfect partnership and what could be better? Sorry for the lengthy comment. I just felt inclined to share this all of a sudden. Thanks.

I really wish Luna had been rehomed with Obi. What a bond they had between them. Thinking of Luna all alone during the day whilst the owners are at work, compared to where Obi went 1) A home with another dog, 2) big backdoor 3) and children I wish Luna had those 3 things ❤️

Even so, Obi's new mom and dad's kids aren't there 24/7. They said they shared custody. Which means Obi will be left home alone a lot, too. They'll get used to the swing of the both of the families leaving for work and whatnot and learn to cope during those hours. Dogs are smart as hell.

Some rescues are extremely judgmental and picky and won’t let dogs go home simply because their standards are too high. I’m glad Luna got adopted by the lovely young couple in Brooklyn apartment. She’ll be the only child to be spoiled rotten;)

@earth ocean they really don't wanna kill the dogs but they have to if theres no space they need to kill the other dogs for more space and for the ppl that work there its so hard for them to let go of the poor life they just sadly had to end.

And neither do I understand how we can't kill pigs, cows and other animals for food and pleasure
@BlueLikeAnIKEABag4 жыл бұрын
@@vanessa_fdy Because it's a part of being a highly evolved species that we delay immediate reward when it stands in the way of a higher goal. That goal being that natural resources last for many generations to come. Killing animals is natural for us and no big deal for the ecosystem per sé. Mass meat production, however, is killing us in the long run. If we want to squeeze 7.8 billion people on earth, we can't expect to have as many resources for the individual than there were when we were still a lean 3-4 billion back in the 1960ies - 1980ies
