When Emily saw Wally for the first time, she burst into tears. Wally was found in the back of a pickup truck and was sent to a rescue. Emily’s mom wasn’t too sure about Wally at first but as soon as she laid eyes on him she fell in love as well. Wally has adjusted so well to his new home. He inspired his mom to foster more puppies and continues to give his foster siblings the confidence they need.

Pitbulls will very rarely have clipped ears and a docked tail. That is an American bully thing. It's almost always done for looks. The only pitbulls that I know that had clipped ears were ones that were used in hog hunting

We adopted a pittie when our kids were young. My parents, at first, were doubtful. Until they met him. We were at a park and another dog, a sweet Golden who had been surrounded by kids just a few minutes before, came over to meet him. He got scared and hid behind my parents. 🥰 Wally is a cutie patootie! ❤️

Wally is grandma's baby. It's so wonderful to see folks illustrate the good in pitties. They are lovable dogs. I know first hand because I had three of them. One I rescue & one I raised from a pup then allowed them to have one litter. From the litter, I kept one & bottle fed him. After my son became an adult and moved on with his life, they became my children. For up to15 years of being in my life, I loved them dearly.

Wally is gorgeous! ❤ I’m watching this with 3 of my 5 dogs. They like to “coffin me in” at night, they line up along my legs and sides and trap me in my blankets. And they all have their spots- my pitbull sleeps on my right side sharing my pillow, my chihuahua mix sleeps on his own pillow next to my head and their 3 kids finish off with laying across my feet, my left arm and my thighs. It’s hard to get out of bed, especially because they all want 500 morning kisses ❤

Better part of a dozen breeds, plus a bunch of mixes, all get lumped into a single category. Pisses me off. I live in Colorado. There are a lot of cattle dogs and cattle dog mixes. Some are farm dogs, but most are family pets. As you know, cattle dogs aren't aren't always the friendliest, nor are they best to have around multiple people. But if one bites that happens to have a "pitbull type" mixed in? Headlines are "Vicious pitbull attacks!"

My mom is 74yo and always loved dogs but, was kind of afraid of the idea that our new puppy was a pittie being influenced by its bad reputation and all. Our Maggie is 5yo now and my mom is totally in love with her and vice versa. She knows what that breed is all about now, best cuddle bugs ever.

This is so inspiring. I adopted a tiny red pitbull a year ago from a rescue, she was dumped outside a park at 5 weeks old. She was just the funniest, most confident little puppy and everyone adored her, until she grew up. Now people act like she is a savage, it's so hard dealing with the prejudice around this breed. I will continue to advocate for these gentle creatures until we learn that it is not the breed or the dog that is the issue, it is the humans who influence their behaviour. I have a 80lb Pitty who bay sits our foster kittens, runs around the house behind them nudging them from danger, and refuses to let our adult cats fight or even play ruff...He is a treasure indeed, my best friend, my Pitty. Oh and he was adopted, along with 2 of his siblings, from a busted dog fighting ring, I got them at 5 weeks old because they wouldn't keep them at my local shelter. They are all 3 the best most gentle,, and loving dogs.❤

"Baby those kind of dogs will turn on you" my grandmother said when I brought home my first pit. Rescued an all white pittie and there was an instant bond with my grandmother, she named her Sugar. Grandmother passed in 2020 and left behind a 100 lb pitbull named Ben who was her by her side till the end. I would overhear her talking to her friend saying " who would have thought I would ever have these kind of dogs, I just love them".
