@@zeytelaloi When I raced XC, it was common knowledge that one had to start eating after 2 hours or one would bonk at 3-3.5 hours guaranteed. We would load up as much food as possible in our jerseys for long rides. When those narrow Camelback backpacks came out and we could carry extra food, clothes, tools, etc., it was a godsend!

Or are you gonna turn it all the way down to wash off and waste even more time drying off too? The wet weight from drying off slows you down and causes drag. Hot tip though, don't do what these guys do, They will replace hubs and stuff almost every race. So they don't give a F about pressure washing the dirt directly into the thing. If you want to ensure you have longevity don't pressure wash stuff with bearings.

It's handy when time is a necessity but it will wash all the grease out of your bearings if your not careful. These bikes get overhauled before and after the race so not an issue for them but it will get expensive quickly if you don't strip and regrease your bike very regularly

You can literally tell if someone pressure washes a bike by the condition of the lower headset bearing generally.
