The one (Anupam) who is the most prolific investor in the panel with more than 200+ investments is not a risk taker according to you? Let me tell you, he must have heard over 1000+ pitches over all domains. He is not someone who will invest in a company just because it is there on shark tank. Check out his portfolio you'll realise how diversified his investments are. He'll not invest in a food or a D2C company until it fits in his portfolio and investment analysis. And shark tank is not the only place where such companies get investment, there are other ways too. As far as I know he is an advisor at venture capitalist firm Kae Capital and People Group as well through which he invests in numerous companies. His portfolio included Big Basket, Rupeek (fintech), Agnikul ($200 Million in space tech), Ola, Rapido, Porter (travel tech) - companies already more than a billion in valuation. If you'll just analyse his net worth through Shaadi.com, it might not be as lucrative but imagine having just a 3% stake in more than 6-7 companies valued over $1 Billion in your portfolio.
