There has always been something very Zen to me about pitching. Once I get into that rhythmic motion, I'm in my own little world. I often think that because of how calming it is might be the reason I get so many bites doing it. I'm relaxed and focused.

Thx, Steve. When I pitch a jig to timber it always hangs up and I have to go get it and blow up the spot. Any tips?

Great question. First thing I would do is try a little lighter jig. And have you tried the bow and arrow method to retrieve it before you go in there?

Yep tried both of those. Now I primarily use a pegged Texas rigged worm. But sometimes I think they want the jig more. Thx for your content.
