I really like your channel. The moving thing sounded very stressful and awful. Very interested in the experimental rake angle process. Would love to see the effect of various angles on the ability to ride no hands. My mountain bike is far harder to ride that way compared to a road bike. I'd love to see a, 'what I have learnt about welding' vid. I hope your channel grows like crazy. All the best, Tom in Australia.

I got those same Knock-off vise-grip drill press hold down clamps, they are threaded metric, if you run a American die over the studd sticking out you can thread it into your normal Milling T-nuts and use it to hold things quick release in the mill - Northern Tools had those clamps for $7.50 on markdown last month and I bought a bunch!

Did you dezinc the nut before welding? Or maybe the inside of the tube had a coating that was impregnated in the metal.

Look at you with the copic markers and the industrial design sketching. Where/when/how did you learn how to do that?

I was watching videos of Scott Robertson and Feng Zhu for industrial design sketch. They are masters! The most important thing though is not how good the sketch looks, but what was learned from it. 👍 A concept artist once told me to never use an eraser, instead start over and draw another rather than try to fix a sketch. You’ll learn faster that way!

Did you go for the top hinge over sliding dropouts because you wanted a bigger range of adjustment?

Yes that’s right. And I thought maybe it might be a little easier to change the rake with a screw mechanism.

Having to adjust both dropouts identically every time you wanted a change would certainly have been inconvenient.

aren't you going to scrape your pedals if you angle the fork too much ?

That will indeed happen! As recommended by a commenter, I plan to make the axle to crown height adjustable.

What do you put on your band saw blade?

It’s a saw blade stick lubricant. I forget the brand name but there are many different brands that do the same thing.
