that's why i failed my previous foster. my 2 year old cat was too much for my 10 year old cat, so i fostered a rescue kitten (9 weeks old). she bonded with those 2 soooo hard! she would play like crazy with the younger one and then cuddle/nap with the older one. couldn't break up that band! 😻😻

I had a pitty that absolutely helped me during rhe worst times of my life, loosing my mother, hospice let her stay with me up until the very end. But? When she would get excited she would do the same eail wag where her whole body would be engaged!!! We called it "THE BUTT-HEAD WAG!" Due to her butt literally hitting her head with every wag to each side!!! "Rest high in heaven Duchess till we meet again baby girl"

Yup! I had the waterworks going on, too! So, so amazing, how dogs will still trust people after what they've been through! If only people were so forgiving! My first rescue here in New Mexico was a stray who apparently has BBs all throughout her body! I didn't knew until she grew into her skin. I don't have the money to take them all out, but I promised her she would ALWAYS have a good safe home. I'm keeping that promise! She is the sweetest dog I have! And I have 4 big dogs!🥰

I was watching a video about dogs the other day and it included clips of dogo argentinas. Every, and I do mean _every_ comment mentioning the argentinas referred to them as "white pit bulls". There were very few replies that corrected them.

That is sad but it's usually so the people can foster another dog in need while giving the healed dog to someone who might not have felt confident rehabilitating a sick or injured one. Foster families are special in that they fall in love with a dog then let it go. I'd be a total "foster failure" especially if my dogs bonded like that.

It is kinda sad, but it's also for the best. The reason they get adopted out is so that the next needy pup or kitty can take their spot and get healed up and ready for their forever home. If it weren't for these folks adopting out fosters, there wouldn't be half as many animals saved!

Or shelters could do more outreach on how to become a foster parent to animals. To increase the amount of eligible candidates. They don’t have to keep fostering, if they adopt out it doesn’t mean that they have to take on another. There is no real telling, but I do agree. If they claim such a huge bond, makes sense to adopt and there are other animals in need that can be adopted, so it’s not like it would deprive anyone of adopting a rescue.

When i saw opal i almost immediately cried we just had a little pitty rehomed to us and she looks exactly like her but with dukes markings and my heart hurt. We say shes our 9yo boxer’s puppy ☺️. Seeing how much those pups love each other is so precious. ❤️
