Marley needed time to adjust, as you say, and stroking him while he got used to the kittens reassured him. I love your trusting bond. Animals have instincts, yes, but don't see divisions when they feel safe.

I walk and watch a bunch of pitbulls. They are good dogs and are generally friendly to other animals after a little bit. So cool to see things like this to help curb how people feel about the dogs. They were the good friends. Was fun to watch. Great video

Beautiful baby girl Marley W asleep upstairs while 2 pitbulls said to be locked in the basement of the party host's house. Marley and her parents were visiting. Dogs got loose and made their way upstairs where one pitbull mauled Marley to death. A dog's sense of smell is somewhere between 10,000 to 100,000 times greater than ours. Their hearing is 4X humans.

Getting kittens used to dogs is great for when you need to find them a forever home. It's a lot harder to socialize adult cats than when they're young.

I don't know if this is true. But I heard that raising kittens in a household with dogs, or be raised by dog/dogs makes them very social with not only other cats and dogs, but with other animals too.
