Good times Mark! Amazing how they did things back then. :-)

Gordon Price designed a control stick mixer for his Ultimate Biplanes that automatically lowered the ailerons as you brought the stick back. And the WW1 Triplane never had brakes- that's a modern design as Ron Sands plans for his replicas. FYI.

G,day from Sydney Australia. Your hanger is looking good, and insulation of the panel lift door will be beneficial, that's for sure. * The 1917 tri-plane is amazingly interesting........... The unique and different controlling: the trailing edge of wing, somehow eminates WW1 pilot Barron Von Rickonhofdder (aka) Red Barron. Thankyou 🌏🇦🇺

Hey Mark... the bail out rig on the garage floor was a give away. Have you ever made a skydive? Highly recommended for anyone having crazy " attitude " fun! .. After all, don't we all practice emergency procedures? Your buddy Don is awesome, you could probably do hours on him! I'm thinking that there might be a ribbon waiting for the CruZer at OSH! Thanks for the great video and Blue Skies brotherman!

There should also be a drain at the bottom of the tank itself

What size tires on the SD ??
@daverobinsonTnT3 жыл бұрын
Mark, just wondering if the tank connected to the compressor has a drain at its lowest point when installed in the orientation you have it installed ? Can water in that very short section of hose drain back into the tank and add to any water already trapped in the tank, based on its orientation and location height ? Would installing a small condensate drain valve in the line between the compressor tank and the main line hose connection help, if the tank was tilted and use of appropriately angled fittings to minimize the quantity of trapped water was made ? I think your excellent Aviation OCD is rubbing off on me ... LOL

Looks like your nosegear strut is powder coated where the pucks will go? I powder coated my nosegear strut but left the metal bare underneath my pucks and just polished it. Even with the grease, the pucks are still a very tight fit. However, I think the pucks "bed-in" quickly and the puck system works great and no problems with corrosion under the pucks - I think they keep the metal polished with their sliding motion! Have you test-fitted a puck just to see if the powder coat is going to make things too tight?
