Cooper T-75 broke his oil pan at the 25 minute mark and laid lots of oil down from T2 till T11. Hand flailing was an attempt to signal the corner workers to throw debris flag and warn the field.

2nd Gear at the Chicane and serpentine might be the trick...........

We raced on road courses here in California in the 60's , (SCCA) but the insurance became to high so racing became tracks only..

@@MikeLawrenceRacing great corner to work too. We're hate the no passing rule impressed since the road isn't fixed. But everyone did a fantastic job driving and "playing nice" on our corner. No incidents on our corner, we love that kind of racing.

I've never had any luck at all communicating with the corner workers from the car. I've tried to indicate a variety of things to them over the years and none have ever seen my gestures. I think it is because they are generally focusing down-track instead of up-track.
