Personally, I like this kind of content. Don’t get me wrong, It’s exactly what trials is about; overcoming obstacles… sadly sometimes that obstacle is the frustration of having to leave a line not pulled. Go back after one a them lovleh bacon bagels on a dry day and it’ll fly up! The war isn’t over! ✌️

Right dude? I ride trials too 20years and have been there frequently. Getting up consists of many phases and sometimes only one of them need extra correction to make the up. Maybe some days your legs are softer so you need to use more arm pull to make the move and vice versa. But 2 hours straight is brutal to try something. More like endurance training territory :) ...But yes - after recovery Ali will go back and make it in 5 minutes probably.

Even on video this thing looks like a vertical wall and I wasn't even expecting you'll attempt it after trying the middle bit. So it's insane that you nearly made it a few times. Awesome video and savage effort.
@dimensionsofearth Жыл бұрын
I've had that feeling before! You almost pull something after 50 or 100 tries ans then it all goes to crap and you can't get any good moves going. Thankfully you pulled the plug ans saved jt for another day, honestly that is moto trial territory, I'm impressed!

Well you almost had it a couple of times to back wheel fair play for sticking at it for 2H your dedication almost outweighs the E bike but not quite and can we just appreciate what Ali is trying to do it’s just. amazing What an E bike can do With the right skills

Keep at it Ali! Maybe you can get a stick or something(maybe some brush) , and clean the tires, like they do in f1/drag racing, it will be time consuming, but maybe only the back tire. Some more grip is always welcomed!

You said it Ali, when you ride an e-b like you do a non e-b it's a hella work out moving around all that extra weight despite all the extra power at least till you get used to it. And even then I feel it way more the next day! but sure is fun! Hey great effort and video.😃

Hey Ali Clarkson! Your effort and perseverance are commendably epic! Longer stem to get the weight forward? Is that one stock? If you bash the carbon into oblivion and need another frame try one or two sizes smaller? 7 giant boulders of thanks! Ride ride ride!

Hey Ali that was an awesome video. It shows you are a normal human being, that's all! We all have these days when we don't succeed at anything. I guess it makes you stronger psychologically. I am having this sort of riding moments recently when riding trials again after stopping for a year. Certain precision lines take me ages to nail and sometimes I don't. Doesn't matter as I will eventually get them and as I still have fun trying! Keep it up you will get up this wall! Also please give us a link for some material to make our own pads. That blue one I can't find anywhere!

dont know about these schwalbe eddy currents, maybe put on a "normal" trail / enduro tire that is not rolling optimized as these e bike tires, they would probably grab better on the edge, but man thats dedication huge respect :)

Its amazing what Ali can do on a full sus! E Bike or not. Im sure he will come up with a 'titanium custom Bash guard' for his carbon frame bikes sooner or later. I like to see the reality just not a take of finished moves. A damn stoic perfectionist 💥❤

I went and rewatched The Rock vlog. You mention there, that you were figting the rock for 2 years already at that point, sooo... by my calculations you have till mid 2025 to get up this. I imagine people finding aftermath of this battle and really scratching their heads "There's well used bike trail, but it leads up the wall and than disappears 🤔"
@helvettefaensatan Жыл бұрын
Do you ever research the age of your obstacles? Being so overgrown, that wall looks like my local medieval monastery. I don't think it is because of the metal peg you covered up. But if somebody did that to Lysekloster, the mood would get quite medieval indeed.

Something very satisfying for a rider of bashed up old bikes seeing the abuse the brand new sponsor-provided e-bike is getting. It's reassuring to see you aren't being precious about it! And this is what it takes to be a great trials rider. I don't think I've attempted one line for longer than 20 minutes, and my body feels battered even after that. Well done!

Bro this is mad! Get some big mountain rides on the go and group rides before you smash it to bits on something like this! Would suck to ruin it first outing! Use the other bikes for trials stuff!

Good first test of e-bike, but you would have got on better getting more used to bike on smaller stuff? funny thing about e-bikes is get less power the more you use up battery, so gets harder !

Total tenacity test! Wow, finally I get to see you on an eBike. Eventually, all wise men seek one... for many various reasons😃. I enjoyed the video progression, like all your stuff. Maybe adding a carbon fiber bash-guard would let you get more aggressive. A pre-wall contact battery ejector or a smaller capacity, lighter battery could be the way to reduce enough weight to complete the task or more motor torque?🤔 Perhaps its all about the power-to-weight ratio?When I bought my 2019 Turbo Levo I also tested the Pivot Shuttle, but Shimano (80Nm) was 10Nm less torque at thst time, now more torque, still less than 90Nm. More torque starts getting to be sounding like a trials moto... you could be doing a splatter 😅... did you ever ride a trials moto? Instead of splatting the tire, that poor Pivot underbelly started to become the splat surface😂 At least your prior bruised groin recovered enough for a ballsy task. Great effort... you were so close many times.❤👍 Perhaps this spot could serve as an international eBike performance test comparison station... could you get some sponsors for that?

At least you don't throw the bike like, your and my hero does! It takes time to get used to stuff anyway. You are asking a lot from equipment not designed for it and almost nailing it on your first ride of this type on a very foreign bike to you, in the pissing rain! Remember, keep the sponsors happy!
