PIX11: NYCHA carpenter builds carts to help make repairs

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) - He’s a popular NYCHA carpenter in Brooklyn; with his roving cart and a smile, he’s making a difference one apartment at a time.
You step inside 63-year-old Stephen Jackman’s carpenter workshop. He has a part to fix anything.
PIX11 News got a chance to see Jackman in action. A native of Trinidad and Tobago, he said he didn’t have much growing up. He’s used to building things himself. He constructed this cart out of plywood. It can handle up to 600 pounds of supplies and even has an engine.
